I have psoriasis.
I got mine after the birth of my second son.
I use to have it all over but now just got it on my knees & elbows.

The best thing for your scalp is STOP using your normal shampoo.
You need to go to the doctors & get NIZORAL shampoo.
You wash you hair with this & leave it on, for about 15 mins while you get washed, then add a little warm water work into a lather then shampoo again then rinse. This WILL work at getting rid of it on your scalp.
You have to get this off your doctor, he might send you to see a specialist if neccessary.
You could be allergic to coal tar based shampoos, I was all they done was made it worse & more itchy.
You also need to use Aqueous cream with 5% salicylic acid about 2-3 times a week you put it on @ bed time best it will go all over your pillow but I use to use an old pillow. this will penetrate the scalp & help soften the scales so the shampoo will work better

Well
A natural remedy you can try to cure your psoriasis is described here: http://psoriasis.toptips.org

Seeking relief from psoriasis can be a lifelong quest. You can search everywhere for the perfect cure and never quite find it. There are plenty of medications, creams, pastes, gels, and lotions out there, but they don’t always work and they can be pricy. It gets time consuming and expensive to dab a lotion all over the body two to three times a day or take a pill every day. Most people just want something that is quick, simple, cheap, and works.

There are actually some things you can start doing for yourself that might help with psoriasis and slow down the onset of another outbreak. Things you can change around the house or personally, that don’t cost you an extra cent.

As I said above a good site where you can find many interesting tips is: http://psoriasis.toptips.org

I was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 14 and now I am 36 years old. You can say that I have tried just about every medicine both approved by FDA and trial without much success. Examples include Enbrel, Humira, oral meds, creams, oils, salts, coal tar, etc and the list is much more extensive that I can't even remember all of the names. But recently after someone shared this video https://tr.im/Treatmentspsoriasiso6k0 everything has changed. My psoriasis completely cleared by putting these changes in place. I only wish I'd taken photos of before and after because it truly has been miraculous. I am getting married in Oct, 2015 and I am wearing a strapless gown that also shows my back and I am confident (not like before) that my skin will be soft and pretty vs red and flakey.

Psoriasis is a disease that takes place when the body’s immune system mistakenly believes healthy skin cells to be enemy cells and starts to produce many more new cells to replace these cells. This is the reason why there is no cure for psoriasis and medications applied to treat psoriasis are only able to remove the symptoms temporarily. Don't go the "cream route", it's only just a waste of time and money. Been there Done that!

You need to read "Psoriasis Free For Life" by Katy Wilson if you want to cure your psoriasis for good. Available online also @ http://www.psoriasisforeverfree.com It's a book that shows you how to cure psoriasis naturally in a few days. I cured my psoriasis permanently in 6 days after reading this book. Good luck!

had the same problem most of my life so i pity u its awful and nothing seems to work-the only time mine is better (and i dont expect u to take this drastic action) is when i bleach my hair-it totally dries up the psoriasis and gives me relief till my roots have grown a few centimetres again-hopefully one day someone will create something that actually gets rid of this condition x

I did not know they still sold LENIUM shampoo? I must check it out. Meanwhile the only thing that worked for me 'lemon juice' in the rinse water. Wash hair, rinse clean, rinse again in water with two tablespoons of lemon juice. Good Luck
