Just bought a suit at Macy's. They absolutely butchered the tailoring. The right sleeve is 2 inches shorter than the left. They said they could try to fix it but such heavy alterations may always be noticeable, considering they have to add so much length. They wont exchange with a sku number, and im going crazy looking for the reciept. can i look this up from my online bank account?

Generally not, the bank account would just show the merchant you purchased from, and you already know that.

Sounds like a pretty shaky place, if they did that bad of a job on the alterations, and are insisting on a sku - they should be able to figure out the sku. Are they really questioning whether you bought it from them? If so, the merchant designation on your online bank account statement should show the purchase.

I'd demand to see a manager, and if you don't get satisfaction from the dept mgr, work your way up to store manager. Put your complaints in writing. Something is very wrong here - Macys is a huge company, and doesn't have the reputation for running scams. They should have records of your purchase and the alterations, unless it was 3 years ago or something.

Good luck.
