just use a total sun block on the tattoo it will be fine . most new tattoos raise slightly when exposed to the sun but using common sense as you would your normal sun care will ensure you don't get any probs

Hi
I Would Cancel Your Appointment And Have It Done On Your Return, Due To You Should Not Go Into The Sun And Into A Pool For Three Weeks After Having Your Tattoo Done

If I were you I would change your appointment. Although pools have chlorine, I'm not sure of the hygeine factor. Also it is wise to cover tattoos with sunscreen or risk serious fading. As it will be new, it would probably be unwise to smother it with sunscreen. And you don't want to be being extra careful changing/ towelling yourself hopping in and out of the pool to avoid it, if you get some scabbing and you knock that off the colour can go patchy. I am probably being a serious worrier and I bet people do it all the time, but personally I wouldn't.

I would wait. I have a tatoo and you dont want there to be an infection. Something mild could cause an infection. Also, being in the sun will make it fade when it is so new. You should wait, just to have some piece of mind and also for your own health. You dont want to be worried about your tatoo when you are tanning! The water may also be bad for the tatoo, it can cause you to become irritated or get a rash because of the chemicals in the water. Its an open wound, care for it like you would any other! Theres no rush, the tatoo will be there forever!

I've got 2 tattoo's and apparently colour can be faded out of the tattoo by the sun, but my coloured done on my back hasn't done so....I also have on my lower back and found that during the healing process when you bend and stretch the bottom your back it makes you wince a little and can stretch the scab and make it fall off...I'd personally wait till u get home cos you don't want to have to keep watching your move in case you pull your scab off!!!
I used a gel cream called 'anusol' (for piles) which was recommended by my tattooist and it worked great....happy holidays!!!

I'd wait til after Summer, you don't want to expose to sun (and other risks as mentioned above)
Last thing you want is an infection and scarring on your new tat. Depends on what you're having done and how easily you heal but scar will still be fresh after a week. If you really want to get it done (and not just for show on holiday) than wait a while. Also wear loose low cut trousers with no label when you do!

Change your appointment. I got my first tattoo back in Feb. They said to keep it out of the sun for at least three months. It has to be completely healed before it get's any sun or it will get messed up.

I would reschedule the appt. if you plan on being in the sun or swimming. It's important that for the first few weeks you stay out of the sun, hot tubs, swimming pools because it is healing. Once your tattoo is healed you can sunbathe or swim as long you wear suncreen to keep tattoo from fading.

I would definitely reconsider getting it done it won't kill you to wait a few more weeks but it could diffidently be a health risk if you are going to be in and out of the pool. I am not a professional though i would ask the person doing the art for his/her opinion

Oh definately do it when you come back. You don't want to be out in the sun with it. Even after it heals you need to put sunscreen on it so it won't fade. And you wouldn't be able to get it wet alot,so no pools,no hot tubs, definately wait.

you should not get in any standing water for atleast a month after getting a tattoo and you should keep it out of the sun at all costs because the uv rays will break down the ink in your tattoo. sunscreen will not protect your tattoo from being damaged by the sun. you need to keep it covered when in the sun.
