I've had a lot of problems with quick time before and I had to uninstall it, delete all the program files, re install it again.. the whole process 3 times before I finally got it working properly.
Third time was the charm, I haven't had any problems with it since.

You may not have the latest quick time plugin for your browser.

Or it might be loading the quick time contents for you and shows the logo as preloader.
