Deism, by definition, doesn't involve deity worship. That's theism. Deism is the belief that the universe had a creator, BUT that this creator essentially plays no role in our day-to-day lives, and doesn't concern itself with human behavior.
So it's merely the belief in the EXISTENCE of deity, but a position that assumes no interaction either way. That's ALL deism means.

Deists believe in God. They just don't believe in placing any characteristics on him nor do they believe that any religion has it right when it comes to describing what God is and isn't.
Deism is a religious philosophy and movement that became prominent in England, France, and the United States in the 17th and 18th centuries. Deists typically reject supernatural events (prophecy, miracles) and divine revelation prominent in organized religion, along with holy books and revealed religions that assert the existence of such things. Instead, deists hold that religious beliefs must be founded on human reason and observed features of the natural world, and that these sources reveal the existence of one God or supreme being.

"i hope some of you are deists are starting to think how silly religion is..." Deists by definition do not follow religions. Deism asserts that this creator does not interact with the universe; thus religions are not words of god; they are man made.

I don't believe that Deists really "worship" ... but they simply acknowledge God as being a creative, higher power. Deists don't believe that we can know enough about God to define him as he has been defined by Christianity, Islam, etc.

Deists, like myself, don't worship a god. We believe that god can be discovered through science and rational thinking.

Deist believe in god. They did not worship god. They believed in god but did not believe in religion. Religion is how one worships god. They also believed that god did not concern himself with our lives. Basically he created and left.

From my understanding, none per se. Also I think deism dealt more with how Washington felt government should be. I don't know his personal religious beliefs.

Deism means you believe there is a God, but that's about it. They don't think we can actually interact with God.
So he may not have openly worshipped at all.

You sure don't. I worship God. The God who created our souls and the universe. This is NOT the monster in the bible.

it's not God as people of blind faith know it, forget anthropomorphism and melodramatic personal cow pies ...God is just the mystery that is behind nature, in fact it is just the natural processes in action which on their own are way more awesome than the usual limited religious idea of God...and strictly nothing to do with Jesus.
