Can someone give me a few suggestions of how to have good clean fun? I mean without spending a lot of money and traveling to far places. The most important part of this question would probably be how to have fun when its just you. How can you have fun when there is really no one to do anything with?

You really can't have fun if you're alone? Why not? I do it all the time. In one instance I went out at 4am to watch the Perseid meteor shower & was delighted to catch the Northern Lights at the same time. Not only was it fun (particularly, perhaps, because "the whole world" was asleep around me, oblivious,) but it was amazing, too. I've also enjoyed hundreds of nature walks alone, coming very close to deer & other animals. Personally I prefer to go to amusement parks alone, as you can get on rides quicker (how often are they asking for "one rider?") Not to mention that you don't have to bow to the will of a group.
There are lots of things...

Join a club, do some volunteer work (you'll meet other people) do something creative like perfect your cooking skills or some kind of craft, make photo albums with all your pictures sitting in a box, take your pet for long walks or to a park to play, look in the paper for local events and go to some that you may not have been to before.

You have to find an activity that you are passionate about. For me that's sailing. But you would say "See tons of money". But wait, my boat is on the hard and I haven't the money to finish the upgrades I have started. It will be some time before my ASSURANCE has her bottom wet again, but I still sail. There are people all over the marina looking for crew. Even if it's just to have company while they sail. Ok that's my passion and I don't expect you to run out and take up sailing.. So what is your passion? Jim

I like to go bicycle riding and explore my town. Of course you'll have to buy a bicycle, but it's a one-time investment that will last you many years. The nice thing is that you aren't limited by traffic jams, it's pollution free, and good for your health!

If you bring a camera or a cell phone with a camera, you'll often find interesting things to take pics of. I once came upon a 40' boat sitting atop the guard rail in the middle of a highway. Suffice it to say the owner did not like that I was taking pictures of his misfortune.

Gee, I guess that may be tough for some people. I am basically borderline loner, so I can have fun with or without people.

Today I went by myself to our Hometown festivals for the holidays. I just walked around, listen to the bands, ate, and just enjoyed being outside.

Other times I'd rather share my time with people.

I think it just depends on your interests and how badly you want to do them. I've gone to museums by myself and I even walked in a walk-a-thon for the March of Dimes because no one wanted to go with me. I like to be active, some of my friends just want to eat. Go to a movie, read a book etc.

All my life I've been a sport fisherman. Many times I've done it all alone and had some of my best times like that. Try it. Great fun.
