I live with my brother. He announced to me that I should get ready for company this weekend. I guess that means I was supposed to make everything sparkeling and go shopping. Well, I decided NO WAY! Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I'm his maid. She is staying here with her 2 year old for 4 days!!! I'm just up to my head!!

Do you have rules for instances like this? What would you do? Would you even let her stay?

Karen...no, he would not. He doesn't cook, clean or buy groceries. He also just told me I...I!!! have to call the landlord and tell him rent is going to be a week late because he has to fund this 4 day weekend. (taking her, her kid, and himself out to eat...buying toys etc.) Its bull. He's a piece of crap. He thinks because I'm his sister he can take advantage.

Its more like I let him live here and not the other way around.

I would hate to have that dude as my roomate. You have been an enabler, letting him get away with all that crap. Its partly your fault for not addressing the issues earlier. It would be uncool for u to blow his weekend, though he deserves it. You should just take the hit this one last time, and talk to him after she is gone. It is the only fair thing to do,since u havent complained to him before. Dont embarris him like that and just wait till u can make rules later.
P.S I havnt killed any rabbits this week lol

If it is your apartment, in your name and you pay the bills; it is your rules.

If it is his apartment, you need to find another apartment, get another roommate and move out.

If he is supposed to be paying you half of the rent and is not, kick his butt out,
Let his girlfriend have him live with her at his place.

You are not a maid or a go-for or whatever else he may think you are.

If you are not able to get him out on your own, or with the help of your parents, if they are able to help you (maybe a little shame would do him good;) go to the landlord, explain what is going on and see if he/she can get involved.

He would not be staying in my home/apartment for one more day after this type of crap.

Good luck, be strong and take care of yourself.

My house rules are as follows:

Don't spill your drink,
Get naked,
Don't be 99 Bananas.

They work pretty well. I'd suggest following the same.
