We lost the Korean war. We lost the Vietnam War. We got beat in Somalia Oct 1993. Look what happened to the Marines in Lebanon in Oct 1983. ( 241 killed and then the USA cut and ran) And now we are losing in Iraq due to a war based on lies. ( Remember the lies about Vietnam?) Plus look at all the innocent civilians the USA troops have killed. This Veteran will soon tear up his two honorable discharges and will never admit to being a veteran. I'm ashamed of the United States.

You're a depressed idiot. War is a part of life. It will never go away and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Another thing, you can't win them all. Get over it! And we are losing the Iraq war?? What the hell are you talking about? You are a sad excuse for an American. If you are ashamed of the United States then move to Canada... Nobody wants you here.

If America was filled with unpatriotic, ungrateful bitches like you during WW1 and WW2 we would have lost severely. You sir, are an idiot. We did not "lose" the Korean war. It was a stalemate, we protected south Korea from becoming communist. Just like we went over there to do. We are NOT losing the war in Iraq. We are policing it, which is a mistake. If the United States wanted to end this "Iraqi War", it would have been over by now. The US marines are the biggest, baddest warriors you'll ever see. I dare you walk up to a vietnam veteran and say that to his face.

Look, I'm proud of serving the greatest country in the world. I would have been proud to serve during Korea or Vietnam, knowing that even the most populated country in the world (China) couldn't beat us in either of the two cases, only the politicians in Washington can beat us, which is what is happening today.

Somehow I doubt you are going to tear up your discharges too quickly, not with VA home loans, free health care, and dozens of other things given to veterans.

how did we lose the Korean war? it is still going on, so no body has won or lost it. the troops on the ground didn't lose Vietnam, the leadership in Washington and the Pentagon blow that one for us. Somalia where Clinton sent in the troops lacking the proper support that they needed to accomplish the mission,Lebanon terrorist act that is very hard to guard against.
seems to me that the government has a lot to do with what you claim to be defeats or what ever you are trying to say. when the troops are allowed to do their jobs they excel in every case, even if they suffer setback in the beginning.
I'm ashamed that you are a American, and would even ask such a question. the vets of the United States of America deserve nothing but respect from their fellow citizens. you on the other hand deserve nothing but contempt and scorn.

We are proud to have answered a higher call, to be part of something bigger than our individual selves. We are proud to have defended those who are too weak, poor, or otherwise unable to defend themselves. We didn't make policy, we just did, and continue to do, what we are told to do. I do not believe you are a vet. If you really were, you would know this. If you are so ashamed of this country, leave. Move to Korea, Vietnam, or Somalia and see how you like it. The USA is not perfect, we have problems, but I have been to a lot of other countries and I can say this. We have it better than just about everybody else out their. If this country is so bad, why do so many people want in? Tear up your SS card while you are at it and get out of my country, your wasting my air.

Which branch did you served on?
If you are really a Veteran, which I doubt it very much, you should know that war has nothing to do with the military, it has to do with politics and the " Foreign Policy" in this country is managed by morons! The military didn't loose the war, the politicians lost it!
Regardless of the outcome, I would never, and I emphasize, NEVER! would be ashamed of being a veteran. I did my job I risked my life as my son is doing it now for something that we believe. If it was up to me, I myself, would take those "honorable discharges" and charge you with TREASON

lost Korea? i dont think so! we stopped a Communist onslaught! what would you call the Battle of New Orleans? an unnecessary fight?

lost vietnam? well, when you look at the political restrictions placed against our guys from the White House, it's amazing we didn't die in two hours!

there is no defense against terrorists!

and since when has it been the policy of the military to kill civilians? and since when has it been happening on a large scale?

if you're threatening that, you have no right to be called a veteran! my veteran relatives, while ashamed of US foriegn policy right now, are proud to have worn the uniform and defended our soil, seas, and airspace!

That's too bad, I will continue to be proud of my service. I don't really mind that the promised education benefits or housing loans never materialized, and there wasn't a drop of help when I needed it from the VA, nor could I retire, nor did I get the rate I wanted. Isn't it the President and Congress who decide whether or not there is continued presence in any country? We actually had orders telling us what to do which kind of exonerated us from the mistakes made. Your military must have been great if you could decide for yourself. If you decide to leave, we won't stop you. By the way, I lost good friends along the way, many of which were asleep when they were murdered in Beirut: they were men of honor, and I do not think you are.

I am proud of my 7 years in the Army. I will stand behind the people that are in the military because most of them believe in what they are doing. A lot of the news people are the ones that say we are losing so a lot of the people in the US thinks we are. If the military could truly run this thing as a war then it would be over real fast. But the powers that be say "NO" but be careful not to damage anything because it is their faith. So stand tall if you are a veteran and be thankful we are free to choose to join or not.

We took an oath that we would follow orders and give our lives if we had to no matter what we were told do. We signed an agreement to serve our Country for so many years and then return home. WE were not the ONES to chose where we did go, do what WE did, leave when WE left!!! That is why we are PROUD OF OUR SERVICE!!! Our COUNTRY is STILL HERE and YOU ARE FREE TO SAY AND DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO!!!! YOU are also FREE to ask a question so YOU MAY UNDERSTAND!!!
