it's a LOT hypocritical!

it's sad when they quote parts of leviticus or romans to bash gays -- then, they spend all day telling why other parts of romans and leviticus cannot be taken literally, but they are parables, not to be followed to the letter in modern times.

what a bunch of hateful frauds!

There is a difference between suggestion and dictation. You are free to believe what you like. So no amount of yapping can MAKE you do anything. So all we do is quote ( which may be a form of dictation) scripture ,revealing some options. We don't come any where near the proselytizing done by the atheists. Take a look at the questions on r&s only a moron would dispute that fact.

Haha. No one is perfect for starts. And christians for one don't need to act like it. Every christian knows that because they believe they will be attacked, they will be watched, and waited on to fail. People should not judge anyway, whether they are Christian or not. God has the last say so. People should not trust people, they should trust God. The main thing is that there are atleast three types of people when it comes to religion. Non believers. Church goers. Christians. Non believers simply don't believe, don't follow, or just don't care. Church goers are people who just simply take up space in church. They are the ones who are hypocritical, they may read the bible but they still go by their own rules. Christians are suppose to be the real deal, they follow Christ as best as they can. Like I said no one is perfect.

The fact is that real Christians do not try to dictate others lives and I do not know where you get the impression we do. I like you and like everyone am a sinner. I try to live by the rules of the Bible and I fall short. "For all fall short of the glory of God". I do know however that Jesus stands as my intercessor before the Father and I would like you to share the same benefit but I cannot criticize your sin unless the Planck is removed from my own eye as Jesus said. Real Christians know "Judge not lest you be judged" . I don't want to judge you just help you find salvation and join me and the rest of the sinners in the salvation of Christ

Jesus knew that somethings might not be possible, besides the Pharisees, Sadducee's,
and other religious orders were breaking the commandments by the way they spoke to one another. So the question which is the best. Jesus summed it up with "You should love the Lord your God with all your heart mind and body. And your neighbor as yourself." on these 2 hang all the laws .......
Sometime it hurts me how we as people and particularly as Christians treat one another. But we are after all humans first instead of Christians. I was thinking how if we are doing something and a sign says wet paint we will stop to touch the paint. The bible is a warning just as the sign is but we choose to ignore it.

You're right I accepted Jesus and suddenly I transformed into a spiritual being. I am not even a human anymore! Get real! I dont dictate your life. Live however you want! Just remember this that you reap what you sow. And that is not even Bible talk that is just plain logic.

Once again, Christians are being generalized here. I am a Christian, and I don't dictate to anyone. I don't even dictate to my own children. I merely have rules in my home and when my children disobey the rules, I allow the consequences. I don't dictate anything. As for dictating to others, who am I to tell others how they ought to live their life? It's not my place. I do my best to live my life in a way that is pleasing to God. I try to set a good example of Christian love to others. I stand up for what is right and I boldly profess my faith without shame. I don't judge anyone, even those whose lifestyles/beliefs are far different from my own. I see the person within and allow God to be the judge of us all. It's not my place to judge. I am not perfect and I sin and make mistakes, just like everyone else on this planet.

The only difference between me and those who are not Christians, is that I have the absolute faith and assurance that my sins have been forgiven by God because I have accepted the gift of salvation which was paid for by Christ's death on the cross. If someone else does not have that assurance, it is not for me to say if they will go to Heaven or not. That's between them and God. I believe that one needs to be a Christian to go to Heaven, but again, that is not my decision to make - it is God's, and only He determines who goes to Heaven and who does not. I guess my point is that I don't claim perfection and I don't claim to be any better than anyone else. We all sin and we all make mistakes. It's up to each of us to do the best we can to live a life pleasing to God, and if one does not believe in God, then it is still up to that person to live their life in such as way as to not hurt others and to have no regrets.

We are all hypocritical in our own special way aren't we now.

Following Jesus is a choice. It's not about dictating lives!!!

Of course we are all going to sin, that is the VERY REASON why we all need a savior. Jesus shed His precious blood on the cross to pay the penalty for sin. Receiving salvation from Him is your choice.

Jesus specifically told His disciples to pull the beam out of their own eyes before they attempt to remove the splinter from their neighbor's eye (Matt. 7). Son in that sense you are correct. However, when Christians have been set free and can see clearly, they may certainly help others overcome.

Someone who found peace with God after removing the beam of pride from their own eye will be able to tell another prideful person of the benefits of humbling themselves before God and just trusting Him. However, how do you think the prideful person will be tempted to respond?

what Christians do you know that try to dictate your life? I try to live my own life to the fullest and without sinning but fall short every day. I am so busy with my own life I have no time to run someone elses. What we as Christians do is try and share the truth with you...far be it from us to judge you or tell you what to do. The most wonderful gift Jehova has given us is the Bible and in it he tells us how to act. Only he can judge us if we have failed.

Even Christians sin, none are perfect and we all fall short of the glory of God. It's imperative to ask for forgiveness.
I see your point but do not agree. Myself being a Christian have sinned but that doesn't mean I can't help others to not make the mistakes I've made.
