Ah!
You asked this first, but I saw it after I answered a later one.
Yes, I vanish fron time to time. People who meditate a lot tend to do that.
It can be scary. You need to be firmly rooted in your body - and preferably have some belief system which knows the techniques - otherwise you can actually lose it.

I vanish about once a month on average. I ignore my phone, dont answer the door & just retreat into my shell until it feels safe to come out again. I think its a good thing to vanish. Recharge my batteries & take some time out from the mad world of humans.

I don't know if I vanish but I do go invisible from time to time when I go into some shops.

Yeah, a lot of times at parties when I don't want the big deal of saying "good bye, it was great...blah blah blah, i just sneak out the door. Also at work those big lunch bashes for somebody retiring, etc. I am there long enough for them to know I showed up, then I just slide out.

No - but I did see a friend do it once. She placed a bet with me that she could hit her ex-boyfriend on the head with her bubbly from the other side of a nightclub and I bet she couldn't.
I thought she was going to throw it, but she spat it!
The trajectory, arc, aim and speed were absolutely perfect and it hit him straight on the back of the head from easily twenty five feet away. He rubbed his head and looked round furiously. He looked straight at ME! I looked round for Helen and she had GONE. Totally disappeared! Two amazing feats to rival even David Copperfield!
I am so proud of her - as disgusting as it sounds, he was a right bas**rd and fully deserved it!
