None whatsoever.
That is a Christian book. Judaism has many criteria for what the messiah is supposed to do (ie."Nation shall not lift sword against nation, nor shall they learn war anymore" Isaiah 2:4 and Micah 4:3---and 3 of the 6 top news stories on Yahoo leads me to believe that it didn't happen yet.)
As far as Messianic Jews are concerned :1) That's like saying "Christians for Mohammed". 2) The reason you have Messianic Jews is because for years missionaries tried converting Jews to Christianity, but even the most ignorant and unaffiliated Jews felt that it was wrong to turn your back on your faith. So the missionaries had a new trick. Stay Jewish, and accept Christian beliefs. That's the story.

Yes, much of the New Testament was written by Jews under in direction of Jehovah. It is the fulfilment of the Torah.
Micah prophesied that the messiah would be born in Bethlehem, Hosea prophesied that he would be called out of Egypt, Isaiah prophesied that he would come from the region of Galilee. The New Testament records that Yeshua was born in Bethlehem and went to Egypt to escape the threat of King Herod. When Herod died, an angel called his family out of Egypt and they returned to Nazareth in the region of Galilee.
Isaiah 52 and the beginning of Psalm 22 graphically describe the crucifixion, as recorded in hte New Testament.
The symbolism of the offerings, the set feasts, the tabernacle and the temple all are explained in the New Testament.
The Old Testament and the New Testament are parts of the same book and they mesh and link together perfectly. Jews and Christians should read both the Old Testament and the New Testament .

Ummm, I am Jewish so I can answer with more authority than any Christian can. First off, to real Jews, Messianic Jews ARE NOT JEWS. They follow Christ as their Messiah ergo they are Christians. Why they don't want to admit that, I don't know. And to answer your question, no, it has no relevance whatsoever. It is about Jesus being the Messiah and, to Jews, he is not the Messiah...so what relevance could it possibly have? And as an aside to the Christians who answered this question -- is it okay with you if someone asks a question about Christianity and I, as a Jew, answer it like I'm some kind of authority?

Since what is in the new testament was largely decided by the bishops of the early Christian church I would think that most of it has little relevance for the Jews. However since Jesus is recognised by the Jews and the Muslims as a prophet I would think that it does have some relevance.
It's main aim in any case is to maintain the power and influence of the church leaders so I don't think it is worth taking to seriously

Odd question. Why not ask if the New Testament of the Christian bible has any relevance Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims etc. They all have their own religious texts, as the do the Jews who's relevance is the Old Testament

I believe yes very much so...
You have Biblical references so i won't go there.
To Rachel the poster above who is Jewish: God Bless you abundantly...can i say the authority the Christians speak with is from the same God you worship..The God of Abraham Issac and Jacob..
I do understand what you mean, but like i say our authority is what we know..we pray for your people because God loves you..and so do we..please let's not fall out over it..~~Shalom~~ : x )

Jesus said he had come to fulfill the Law and the Prophets. So, yes. You will see the relevance clearly if you read chapter 24 of Luke's Gospel, the 3rd book of the New Testament. It will only take 5 - 10 minutes to read it. May the L-rd bless you as you do so.

Does any religious text have any relevance for any peoples?
A faith is exactly that....'a faith'...a trust that a belief is what it is given faith to be.
A belief is exactly that.....'a belief'....that a faith is what is it is believed to be.
We all believe or have faith in whatever we see fit. No one ever knows if his or her beliefs are true. We just trust, and believe that they are.
So regardless of any ones ethnic background, their views are pertinent to their being, and have relevance to them personally.

No, and you can't have messianic jews either. Being a Jew is not determined by being a race, it is by what they believe. Jews do not believe in Jesus, therefore messianic jews are neither one side or the other.

Unless they are Messianic Jews then no..as most Jews deny that Jesus is the promised Messiah which is basic foundation for the new testament.
