A true Christian is someone who has entered into a real relationship with their Creator, God, through the precious shed blood of Jesus Christ, His only Son, and who now lives through the power provided them by the Holy Spirit.

This person is not perfect because no one this side of heaven is. However, they know that their perfection and righteousness is given to them by Jesus Christ and His sacrifice.

This person is willing to learn what agape love is knowing that it will cost them everything.

This person is aware that the two most powerful entities in the universe both want him dead. God wants him dead to the flesh that puts him at odds with God. The enemy of his soul wants his flesh to be alive so that he will be at odds with God.

Ultimately, this side of eternity, our soul man (the flesh) must walk in submission to and hold hands with our spirit man. The physical side of us falls into line. Jesus was talking to the Pharisees in John. He said that He had much to say about them and much to condemn but that He would not because He only said and did what He saw the Father saying and doing.

That means that Jesus had His own will, mind, emotions, thoughts, but that He had subdued His soul to the point of submission to His Father.

A true Christian is one who goes to the Father the way the Father wants them to come to him. A religious person is one who makes up his rules as to how to get to the Father. For example, you have to wear long dresses if you are a Christian or you can't believe in musical instruments in church because they didn't have them in the New Testament (but they did).

Any way, Christianity is God's way of getting to man. Religion is man's way of getting to God.

A Christian does it God's way with God's help.

A true Christian is a person who has put his or her faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ and fact that He died on the cross as payment for sins and rose again on the third day to obtain victory over death and to give eternal life to all who believe in Him. John 1:12 tells us: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Christ. The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

I can't believe the immaturity with which some people have answered this question.

I believe a Christian to be someone who believes in God, and His son Jesus. That Christ died for our sins and rose again.

A person who believes that Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary as the son of God. That he died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, and that he was resurrected into Heaven after his death.

I think a person who believes that is a Christian--but not necessarily a good person. To be a "good" Christian (or person, you definitetly don't have to be a Christian to be a good person), one must strive to live a compassionate, loving life.

A Christian is one who accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and God, and tries will all his mind, strength, and heart to follow his teachings. His two greatest commandments are that we love God, and that we love our neighbour as ourselves. He then showed us what it means to love, by dying in a most excruciating way for the forgiveness of our sins.
