Do your parents know you're posting relationship questions?

Question

After reading the single & relationship board, it's evident that more than half of the post are from kids 17 and younger.

Question - Are your parents so oblivious they don't know you're dating and making statements like...'we're soul-mates' and 'I want to marry him/her' or even 'we belogn together'?

To Keri - My question means I have the right to hold judgement. When you grow up and get into the real world, you'll finally realize the sad truth....we ALL judge in one way or another. Those that say they don't either are ignorant or lying. Have a nice day!

AMEN!! I wonder where their parents are too!! I know for a fact my kids are not on here posting a D A M N thing!!! I monitor their time on computer at home everytime they get on the computer which is about 2-3 hrs. a week. These parents need their A**ES whooped!!
I have even gone so far as to make my OWN myspace page, to see exactly who my kids friends are on there, and i monitor all my 3 teenagers' pages on a daily basis i have all passwords to my children's accounts and if 1 is changed they don't get on the computer until i get the new password!! Parents need to let kids be kids and have fun, BUT don't be such clueless IDIOTS!!

Alright, here is my opinion, some of these kids who are posting probably can't talk to their parents about their problems so they come here for help and advice, I see no problem with that.

It is better than them visiting some of the other questionable sites on the internet and talking to pervs.

Who are you to judge? I really feel sorry that these kids do not have anyone to talk to, and I am honored that they can come here for heart to heart advice.

I care about them just like they are my own children.

If you do not like it, then post someplace else.

But giving help and advice is something so gratifiying to me and it makes me glad and happy to help someone out in need no matter how old or young they are!

Of COURSE they know! I mean, think about it. They were teenagers once, too ya know. They know how the whole 'soul-mate', 'lovey-dovey' 'let's get married NOW' thing works. Some parents are in the know, while others are not. I suppose this is an up-side to how much you want your parents to know. What do you think?

Their parents are completely oblivious to what their kids are doing on the internet. Especially the kids who are asking sex questions. People shouldn't have kids if they can't devote time to them.

I'm not one of the people you're talking about, but it seems to me that it's practically impossible to stop children from doing things like that. Especially on the Internet . . . computers are too easy to find to enforce things like that. Good night!

I don't believe in that crap...but, my parents don't know what I do on the computer I could be in chatrooms, talk to grown men, etc...all the horrible stuff you can think of but I know better ...and maybe they know that I know better but then again my parents barely know how to use the computer

They should have age limit in some areas but it the irresponsible answers that scare me
