As the chewing gum is so much softer than your teeth, no.
Only if you chew so little gum, that teeth are on teeth, I would see that danger.

Chewing sugar free gum is good for your mouth because it removes food particles and keeps the saliva circulating.

CERTAIN FOODS CAN WEAR DOWN TEETH WHEN CHEWED, SUCH AS STONE-GROUND CORN IN CHIPS OR TORTILLAS.
WHY?
THE SMALL AMOUNT OF STONE IN THE FLOUR EVENTUALLY WILL ABRADE THE ENAMEL OF THE TEETH.
GUM WILL NOT WEAR DOWN THE TEETH.

If you are chewing a gum containing sugar...well...sugar is corrosive. On the same note, so are many artificial sweeteners.

yes because it wears down the enamel in your teeth and once that's gone then your teeth can't fight cavities off.
