Also, take into consideration there'd be no sexual activity. Maybe kissing of course, but that'd be it. At least until she turned 18.

You are allowed to date her....by date I mean take her places, etc. NO sexual contact. Kiss on the cheek is ok.

I met my boyfriend when I was 17 and he was 21. We started off as friends, and as time went on, we became a couple. My parent's knew about it, they liked him, and we made it official.

I was with him for 6 months before I turned 18. He turned 22 a month before my 18th birthday. Now I am pregnant with his child and we are the happiest couple alive.

But beware, a lot of times, even if the minor's parents believe that it's okay, they can still turn it around on you and call the police if you and their daughter were to end up in a fight or something.

So, as long as there is no sexual activity going on, and as long as you trust this girl not to lie if something were to go down, then it should be fine.

Otherwise, you should probably wait until she's 18.

Most States say that the age of consent is 16 years old with in a 4 year range. Meaing at 16 a person can make their mind up about sexual activity as long as the person is not over 4 years older.

Check your state statutory laws. You all should be fine.

No it would be OK, depending on what's the legal age for sexual relations wherever you live.

Or you could just be with her and wait until she comes of age, 3 years is nothing when you're 25 I doubt you'll care if the girl you go out with is 20.

If you two like each other don't let anyone break you up! And don't mind if anyone says anything that's fairly simple minded, as they don't know how you truly feel about this girl.

Meet the parents. If you came to my home at my daughter's invitation and we all had dinner and you were well mannered I'd allow it.

If you tried to backdoor me and date her behind my back...
It wouldn't be pretty as some can attest.

Fortunately my daughters are grown now but they both dated decent guys older than them that I approved of and one got lucky enough to find a gem of a man and they have been together 6 years.

I realize this girl is old enough to join the military and die on foreign soil, but regardless, Show respect and meet the parents. Asking and having Mom and Dad's approval is still a big deal. It's a man rule.

I don't know what the legal age for dating is anymore,it might be seventeen. And you may say there would be no sex,but you never know when you could get caught up in the moment either! What do her parents think about this? The parents are the ones who can press charges on you.

She is 17, she is considered to be of legal age, I do not see a problem with that, three years difference is no big deal.

My cousin married a man 12 years older than her!!!!

So, I would say you are fine!

Talk to her parents, and dont try to shine them on.If they approve theres nothing wrong ,but if they dont like you they can have you arrested, even if it is just kissing going on.If they say no to you wait til she turns 18 and is legal to do what she wants.Do not sneak around behind their backs.Make every effort to be civil no matter how they treat you.Remember this is their baby girl.
