find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I would suggest that you ask your physician for a referral to a nutritional counselor because there's absolutely no way you should have gained 80 lbs with your pregnancy.

The other answers are correct, though. All you can do is burn more calories than you take in. I don't know if you're nursing, but if you are... consult your doctor about what your true daily caloric needs are and then, subtract 500 calories from that number. By doing this, you'll lose one pound per week. Ordinarily, I'd provide a link to a daily caloric needs calculator online but again, since I don't know whether you're nursing, I don't want to give you misinformation.

You might also enjoy Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds DVDs because it's an in-home walking system that combines walking with knee lifts, kicks, side steps, kick backs, and upper body work with 2 lb weights. It's definitely cardiovascular and may easily fit into your schedule as a new mom.

Good luck!

Sound like you need to start doing the basics such as joining a gym to shed some of the fat and tone your muscles. Drinking lots of water will help with weight management as well as eating healthy. Try eating several small meals throughout the day instead of 3 huge ones.
You gained a lot of weight so don't expect that it is all going to suddenly fall off. Give it some time and really try to work at it. I would stay away from the diet pills and focus on exercise. If your having pains try some low impact exercises like swimming. You could also do this with your baby!
As far as your breasts, they may slim down when you loose weight though a lot of women just have fuller breasts after having a baby. Good Luck and enjoy motherhood!

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/ca... This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.

Best way to lose weight is NOT a DIET. Change your lifestyle and start with weight watchers..you eat anything that you want but in smaller portions. You also need to run or jog or do aerobics and then do anaerobics by doing some light weight lifting. the combination will make you lose the weight and keep it off. there is no easy way to lose weight quick, b./c the weight you lose is just water weight and it will return soon after you start back to your normal routine. The race in losing weight is not to the swift but to the one that perseveres. You have to be patient. It took a long time to gain and will take just as long to lose it.

Best of luck!
