to the religious needs of their cousins the Chimps. Dont you think they need Jesus too? I'm calling on all Christions now to bow their heads in a moment of silent prayer for our cousins the chimps and great apes.

Chimps do not have a liveing soul,,, they will just go back to the earth that gave them.

Chimps and Apes are primates and a very close match to humans in some regards....we however do not come from or have evolved from apes.....Case in point, why are there still chimps and apes? Hasnt every other thing that has evolved ceased to exist in its original form? Besides that there is no need to pray for them as HUMANS and only humans need salvation. No other species has been chosen by God and no other species has denied God or sinned against Him. They are safe from the fears of the afterlife that we have. We are not, so instead of praying for them try praying for yourself.

If you want to save the evolutionary 'cousins' of chimps, Orangutans... just earthly salvation though, their conceptual understanding is probably somewhat limited to convince them of God or atheism...

Human religious do not offer a theory regarding animal soteriology. In humility, we must recognize our religions are competent only to tell us about our relationship with God. It is fine for the soteriological status of everything else to remain a mystery to us. Not everything need be explained.
