I am Muslim and I just want you to be patient to read carefully the following, it is long but since you asked then you should get the answer:
First of all, when someone is doing a sin, it doesn't mean to damn them and being offensive on them, they have their own life and own choices.
But if you ask why do we condemn the act of homosextuality , but not condemning being a gay or lesbian, then here is the answer:
Homosexuality is a sin. Men and women should abstain from any practice
of Homosexuality.
Homosexuality is prohibited in Quran per the example of the people of Lot.
The following verses will make this clear, God willing.
[7:80-81]
Lot said to his people, "You commit such an abomination; no one
in the world has done it before! "You practice sex with the men,
instead of the women. Indeed, you are a transgressing people."
[26:165-166]
"Do you have sex with the males, of all the people? "You forsake
the wives that your Lord has created for you! Indeed, you are
transgressing people."
The Quran forbids any sexual relationship other than in a marriage
between a man and a woman. Many homosexual men and women
claim that they are born with their sexual preferences and that they
have no choice. Although this point is very much in dispute in the
medical world, it has no support in the Quran. Even then, irrespective
of the nature of homosexuality, this matter would not affect the laws
spelled out clearly in the Quran .
We know that this life is a test. Everyone of us has his/her own test.
For example someone may be born blind, but that person is expected
to live his/her life according to God's law. Others are born poor, short,
tall, weak, missing fingers, having big nose...etc but all of them are
expected to follow God's law. Some men or women may never marry in
their life, or spend part of their life without a spouse. As per the Quran
they still have to live a chaste life and avoid any sexual contacts outside a
marriage. They have to suppress their sexual feelings to follow God's law.
It is a major test and not an easy one for many. Only those who submit to
God will do everything they can to follow His law. They know that their
salvation and eternal happiness rests in doing so.
Since God condemns homosexuality, then we have to believe that a
man or a woman with homosexual feelings is expected to behave like
any other human being and follows God's laws if he/she truely believes in
them. He/she shall resist his/her feelings , maintains abstinence , use all
available resources of help including medical, social and behavioral
therapies to overcome their behavior and feelings.
They should pray to God to help them getting over it and submit to God's
law that sees homosexuality as gross sin. Only those who steadfastly
persevere in obeying God's law will they pass their test and confirm their
submission to God.
For a person who asks, "why me?" We know God is the Most
Merciful and Just (16:90) and He will give each one of us a fair
test and a fair chance. He assigns the tests to suite each one of us
and we believe that He will never burden any soul beyond its
means (23:2).
[17:89]
We have cited for the people in this Quran all kinds of examples,
but most people insist upon disbelieving.
[18:54]
We have cited in this Quran every kind of example, but the human
being is the most argumentative creature.
[39:27]
We have cited for the people every kind of example in this Quran,
that they may take heed.
The spouses that God have made from among ourselves are those that aid in
producing children. Since the spouses in homosexual relationship would not
produce children they are not the spouses God made from among ourselves.
[16:72]
And GOD made for you spouses from among yourselves, and produced for
you from your spouses children and grandchildren, and provided you with
good provisions. Should they believe in falsehood, and turn unappreciative
of GOD's blessings?
With regard to dealing with homosexuals, the basic rule governing this would
be 60:8 & 9.
[60:8-9]
GOD does not enjoin you from befriending those who do not fight
you because of religion, and do not evict you from your homes. You
may befriend them and be equitable towards them. GOD loves the
equitable. GOD enjoins you only from befriending those who fight
you because of religion, evict you from your homes, and band
together with others to banish you. You shall not befriend them.
Those who befriend them are the transgressors.
However, to be a winner we have to advocate righteousness and
forbid evil.
[3:104]
Let there be a community of you who invite to what is good, advocate
righteousness, and forbid evil. These are the winners.
[3:110]
You are the best community ever raised among the people: you advocate
righteousness and forbid evil, and you believe in GOD. If the followers of
the scripture believed, it would be better for them. Some of them do believe,
but the majority of them are wicked.
[9:71]
The believing men and women are allies of one another. They advocate
righteousness and forbid evil, they observe the Contact Prayers (Salat)
and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and they obey GOD and His
messenger. These will be showered by GOD's mercy. GOD is
Almighty, Most Wise.
Also, if God so wills, a reminder may benefit the person.
[6:69]
The righteous are not responsible for the utterances of those people,
but it may help to remind them; perhaps they may be saved.
[87:9]
Therefore, you shall remind; perhaps the reminder will benefit.
I hope the above has been helpful, God willing.
Peace

As a Christian I did not say your family members that are homosexuals are sinful and going to end up in hell, God said it and as a Christian it is my duty to tell you and anyone else that is not a Christian that, without Christ you are going to burn in a devil's hell. Under the same token it is your God given right to believe it or not, however if you choose not to believe it, then your blood is off of my hands when you stand before the Judgment seat, you can not look at me or any other Christian that has told you about Jesus and blame us when God tells you, "Depart" as for the part about non-whites, I have yet to read anything in God's Word about them, therefore the rejection of them can be blamed on stupidity more then anything.

That's between them and God. I also have a lesbian sister and i believe what she does is immoral. But i love her just the same. I may not like what she does but like i said that's between her and God. God loves the sinner but not the sin. Jesus came so that may have life not death, our sins were nailed with Him on the cross. We also have two guys that are gay in our church but we don't look down on them. One of them even sings in the choir. But they are probably more Christian than other people at the parish. We have to remember that scripture also says that those who hate others will not enter into the kingdom of God nor will drunkards, those who envy, steal, cheat, lie, those who don't honor their mother and father and so on. So gays are not the only ones in danger of not going to heaven but those who judge them are in danger too and maybe even more so. But these to guys do not flaunt their homosexuality in church either they respect the rest of the congregation and Gods church.

Well first off where do you get your basis for right and wrong?? Yes, you can choose your reality. But there is only one truth. God has revealed it to us in the Holy Bible and has given us the option to accept it or reject it.
Christians are told to love the sinner and hate the sin. But as you know people will be the way they are Christian or not just down right hateful at times. I believe the Bible, all of it not just the parts that make me feel good about myself. I recommend you do some reading at:

These sites challenged me to think and not just accept thinga at face value.

I guess it's easier. Every religion seems to frown upon same sex unions as they don't produce little 'uns to brainwash. Often, the folks who shite upon gay folks ,man, usually have gay tendancies themselves. An interesting experiment was done wherein men who didn't care about homosexual men and acts, and men who were staunchly homosexual haters had electrodes attctched to their penises while they watched gay male porn. Guess who had the most ridgid responses? Yep. The homo haters. My thoughts have always been that a male or men who go through life slamming,(they wish), gay men, are those with the most wish to be penetrated by a male penis. I had a boyfriend who absolutely freaked when i lived in a predomninately gay male neighbourhood, and he'd scream, "effen' fags"! alot. Interestingly enough, when the gay parade came around, he made sure to dress in his best clothes and join the parade. This entity hated women, but most im-ortantly, himself, and would cover up his insecurities by beating women and denouncing gays, when it was appanant that he himself was gay. Many men I've noticed wh are the type to denounce gay men, are those who are repressing their true nature. I gave you an example of a crazy, self hating freak (who , thankfully, I have nothing to do with anymore), but for the most part, to ignore the feminine part of what a man is, essentially, a male has to learn to be male, and men are specialised females really. we all start out as female. What the male does with his elements of femininity is either embraced it,, ignoresd, or distorted. The father of my kid said that when he plays the saxophone, that was the male elemaent of him. When he played the flute, that was the female element appearing. interesting. Now....Where's my cigar?

Sweetie we are all sinners, both gays and straights alike. I'm sorry you feel your family members are getting a bad deal but without Christ we are ALL doomed.
Romans 3:23 We all have sinned and fallen short of Gods glory.
Judge not so not to be judge. True Christians as I am one, loves gays and straights alike because since I gave my life to Christ, I know what it means to be forgiven. Go with God, may He open ALL our eyes and may His blessing fall upon us all.

it is not my place nor is it any other christian's place to pass judgement on anyone. I just know what the bible says, it says it is a sin just like any other sin, ex lying, stealing, murder, lust, ect....I don't judge what people do because I sin too, ............... but since you don't believe in the bible then why even ask this question because i am pretty sure you knew what answers you were going to get

My thought is you are assuming that all christians and all muslims believe the same thing. I am a christian, I don't believe I am higher than God, so therefore I don't make judgements towards others. I feel that when somebody is happy, thats really all that matters.

I don't condemn anyone. I am a Christian. I cannot speak for all Christianity. You will encounter those that condemn others, but, JESUS tells us to be sinless before we can condemn others. In other words, no one has the right to condemn your family members.

What if we say nothing. What if we just repeat what God says about homosexuality. My faith does not label them. You ask my thoughts yet you do not want the truth. So why bother.
