I currently own a 2006 Focus ST with 18,000 miles on it and it is loaded with every option and is a five speed. I am upset with its fuel economy as I am only getting 23mpg overall. I have the oppurtunity to purchase a brand new Pontiac G5 with a 5speed with a lot of options minus a moonroof and ABS and have the same payments as I have with the Focus for the same length of time. The G5 gets 32mpg overall do you think I should keep the Focus or go with the Brand new Pontiac which is the same as the Cobalt?? Thanks for the help

The G5 barely gets better gas mileage than the Focus ST (25 city/34 hwy vs. 22 city/32 hwy), and definitely doesn't get 32mpg overall.

I take it you're leasing? Do what you want, but watch out for hidden feese, and don't expect much in fuel savings.

At this point, with the high prices of gas, I don't think that you are going to be saving that much. It won't be a noticable difference. I would stay with the car that you have just because there will no benefit other than a new car with no miles.
