Ac unit has a small 3 prong plug, almost standard except the 2 top plugs are horizontal not vertical, can i adapt this to use in a 220 dryer/range box I already have?

change the outlet to match ac 220 is 220

Yes just change the plug on the A/C or the outlet to match. The circuit breakers should be large enough.

Recommend you contact the a/c manufacturer. They will know if your a/c will work with the outlet and perhaps where you can get an adapter. Whatever you do, don't try and jury rig it yourself. Not safe and you could damage something.

Sure you could as long as they have the same amount of voltage it doesn't blow the fuse. And it's clearly the same voltage you have so it works.
The only difference when it comes to electrical things are it's voltage. Obviously the lesser voltage can't handle that higher volt so it will definitely burn the fuse or it will cause a short circuit.

yes it can,besides if something goes wrong the circuit breaker automatically switch it off.
