Conservatives are too busy working or running businesses. Conservatives advocate less government, less government spending. Liberals want government to run everything and liberals want to run the government. Most people in the US have traditional conservative values. So, liberals have to sell harder to get their message out.

I am not sure that liberals do seem to be more involved. Issues ebb and flow and right now the "liberal" issues are on the upswing and the conservative issues are retrenching. Ten years ago it was the opposite. There is a tendency when your particular side (liberal or conservative) makes a fool out of themselves (don't worry sooner or later both do) that their supports retreat into the woodwork. In the sixties when I was growing up liberalism was assendent, in the eighties conservatism dominated. It's a cycle. Your turn will come again. The current president has neither represented conservatism well nor revealed a competent administration. So conservatives tend to be quiet rather than associate themselves with someone widely viewed as incompetent. If Hillary wins in 2008 the reverse will happen for the same reason.

I am not sure they do. There is an enormous amount of conservative activism against abortion and gay marriage.
But if Liberals tend to be more involved in activism its because liberals want progressive change, and conservatives don't. It's harder to protest to stop change or for undoing past actions. Liberals often see injustice, unfairness, or oppression against people at the hands of the government or industry and that motivates them to call for change. It is difficult for anyone, no matter how conservative, to advocate preserving or creating an injustice. But that does not stop them from trying.

Because it takes more energy to get through ignorant peoples thick skulls.
Abortion~how many children have you adopted? What do you contribute to parents and children that can not afford proper housing, clothing and food. At this point if one works for minimum wage they bring home $11,000 dollars a year. Also if there is is high risk of the mother or child dieing is it still OK for you to make their decision. The government needs to stay out of the womb....they already have too many irons in the fire.
Who is to say that gay marrige is wrong. I have seen a number of males and females get married and it ends in disaster. A union of too people should be left to those people. God isn't perfect...sometimes genetics are confused. And just because a person is gay does not mean that they should be punished. If a disabled child is born people don't ban their right to reproduce. Were your ancestors born and raised in America...I bet if you did some reaserch you would find that they came from some place other than America. Are you willing to go stand in the hot sun with your back bent all day to pick crops? I believe there needs to be a fair system for immigration. At least if it were legal for immigrants to be here we could collect taxes from them.
So I think maybe instead of protesting you need to go adopt a couple of children, contribut to charities, judge people by the kind of people they are and not the sexual orientation they have and get out and work for minimum wage in the fields for minimum wage. It might change your narrow mind~

Many Liberals flaunt their ignorance. They are conditioned to believe lies instead of think for themselves. For example, the late Democrat Senator Byrd was a recruiter and officer in the KKK. Have you ever heard a Liberal talk about that, much less condemn him? Also, the people lynching blacks in the South and belonging to the KKK were mostly Democrats. About now, all the Liberals reading this truth are spewing venom at me for saying it. That's the way they've been conditioned. Then there is the problem of warmongers. Democrat President Roosevelt got us in WWII, Democrat President Truman got us into the Korean War, then lost it. Democrat President Kennedy got us into the Vietnam war. Democrat President Johnson used the big lie, "The Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, and caused 58,000 Americans to die, and 100s of thousand to be maimed and their lives ruined. I know about all this because I am nearly 80 years old and I served in the military for 24 years during those times. The Liberals are like cats in a litter box trying to cover up all the truth.

It's a fascinating question actually. Mainstream Conservatives in my opinion (and here I speak of the term as it's used in America, and not the honorable deep meaning of the term) seem to primarily focus on justifying the action of the US government, whereas Liberals criticize as well. That's undoubtedly biased, but just thinking back, even with all of the criticism of Clinton I can hardly recall any policy criticism.

Nice question, and some great answers!
Most Conservatives regard 'protesting' of any kind as a 'hippy/liberal' activity, and are slightly scared of being seen as 'not toeing the line'.
I really wish you guys would do all you mentioned, instead of relying on 'talking airheads' like Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter and O'Reilly to shape your views.
More power to you.

Hello,
People who are more conscious and have more sensitivity about what is going on in their environment and community and also people who are suffering a specific problem tent to react faster and more deeply in these issues.
Most of the times liberals are people who like to learn about different subjects and are open minded so that is why they get involved in different political issues.

Conservatives need to do much more in the arena of activism.
My new book, Grain and Grit, Ingredients of The True American, addresses this.

Absolutley you are correct! The majority of the country is conservative, but many don't care or have the guts to stand up for their beliefs. If we don't stand up soon we're going to lose our country because the politicians sure as hell aren't going to represent us.
