well it is really up to you! I think that they should at least be with the mother for 8weeks! Although you should let the runt stay for at least 9 weeks! It is really up to you! There is a test to see if they are ready! You set them off into a pen that is nowhere near the mother! Then you leave them there and check on them every 5 or 10 minutes! If they cry a lot then they aren't ready! If they cry for like 30 seconds then it is ready to let them go! Don't keep them for long because you will get attached and you won't want to let go!

The best time is 8 weeks, although some kittens are ready to go by 7. Some people will say six weeks but believe me that is TOO early!

For the optimum health of the kittens, they should stay with the mother until they are weened. This is usually about eight weeks. This way they are trained to hunt, use litter box, and can live on solid food. The kittens will be well adjusted if you play with them and handle them alot. They will be healthy too.

Hello....8 to 10 weeks is preferrable, giving mom the time to do all that needs to be done, training & weaning... & a good breeder will guarantee them when they sell them for @ least 30 days, my friends all do, they even offer to take them back @ any time, if something comes up & the buyers can no longer keep them..sorta like resucers & breeders ...Take Care :)

At least six weeks. If they leave their mother before then, they haven't fully become weaned from nursing on her and will suffer for it.
