There are fade creams like VitaK and Mederma.
Laser treatments, blue/pulse light treatments, and dermabrasion are also available.
There is that cover cream that only hides them but doesn't lighten them.
I have lightened the skin on my elbows and knees with lemons cut in half and rubbed on that rough skin.
Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter prevent stretch marks but do little to actually lighten the skin.

I'm using the DermalMD Serum to treat a surgical scar on side of nose. The scar is slightly recessed and approximately two years old. The DermalMD Serum seems to have blended the color of the scar to better match the surrounding tissue. I also use a sunscreen on the scar everyday.

My daughter had just got the Chicken Pox and her first blisters started to appear a few days ago, even though she has already received the vaccine before. I was very worried, as everyday more and more blisters appear. I think I had counted at least 50 blisters on her.
Luckily another mother had recommended me this Fast Chicken Pox Cure book on a parenting forum and I decided to try it out. I have been extremely pleased by the results as my daughters symptoms, mainly blisters, had begun to fade soon after as this book described. The first thing I noticed was she was feeling better and more energetic. And then the blisters started to scab and dry up, which was great because she wasn't itchy after that.
At last all her blisters shed off from her skin and healed up... all in probably less than 3 days!
Begin to cure the Chicken Pox immediately?

Aloe Vera really worked well for me. After me chemotherapy port was surgically removed there was this ugly scar on my upper right chest near the collar bone. After well over a year I decided to try Aloe Vera. I put it on every night before I went to bed for about three weeks. The scar is completely gone. You can't even find it.

First of all, do not panic! And remember not to scratch ! The more you itch the more it makes the scars look bad, so YOU HAVE TO STOP ITCHING AND SCRATCHING. Use some lotion or cream to prevent the skin from itching, regular massage with oil, specially Vitamin E oil, or even jojoba oil, will help soothe the skin, lighten the scars and prevent the skin from itching! If you do not find the Vitamin E oil or jojoba oil, simple coconut oil will help, but regularity in massaging the legs is very important to get rid of the scars on the skin.
In fact, it will make the skin also softer and lighter with prolonged use. And yes, do not expect the miracle over night, with extended use, you will sure benefit! All the best!

I had a similar problem with chicken pox scars on my legs .. some years ago .. used to rub olive oil over the entire area not just over the scars, regularly, and leave it like that for at least half an hour and then wash with warm water and mild soap to remove the oiliness. Did this for two weeks and it worked.
Good luck to you !

Massage organic shea butter to fade the scars. Also apply a paste of curd/yoghurt mixed with orange peel powder and chickpea flour on the skin before bath. Massage in circular motion till dry . Wash off. Apply shea butter after this treatment. Do this regularly for 8-10 weeks and see the difference. Continue the treatment to get flawless skin.
