It entirely depends on where you are interviewing. The sad part is that most managers and companies don't know how to correctly interview. The majority of good companies will already know before you walk in the door if you meet the qualifications for the job, so they will focus on the "fit" in the agency. A good rule of thumb is to mimic the interviewer. If they are slow and methodical, then that's what you do. Nothing will turn off an interview faster than someone that is not like them. Do your homework on the company. KNOW what they do. The more effort you put into researching the job the better your chances.

A very good book to read is "You, Inc.". Even better download it from itunes and listen to it while you drive.
