fear of rejection.....

2007-05-26 05:41:48 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 2 0

Well I feel very sorry for boys because girls seem so condescending to boys these days. I have been on the bus with boys and girls coming out of college and the poor boys are pushed around, put down, laughed at and insulted by noisy girls. Why would they want to ask any girl out like that? If you make yourself a little less agressive, then it won't be such a problem for a boy to get up the courage to ask you out. I'm not saying that you personally are like these girls, this is just my observations.

Rejection. Ackwardness. Don't want to lose face. When a guy asks a girl out, he's putting himself out there, showing his real emotions. Its either a yes or a no, and either can have an affect on a guys emotions cuz they are raw. We're just afraid of getting hurt.

When I first saw/noticed a girlfriend of mine, she would have an angry look on her face, either that or a look of disgust. I thought to myself "what a Bit*h" but I did think that she was cute. Like a cute tiny brooding unsociable, Bit*h..... I didn't want to approach her because she didnt look like she wanted to be approached, by anyone, not bothered by anything, just wanted to be left alone, PERIOD.

Well after I got to know her and fell for her personality, I realized that what I saw in the beginning was not her. Later we had a conversation about this topic and what I found out was surprising!!!

She told me that she didnt want to look desperate so she would try to look disinterested. Which in my opinion she didnt look like a nice person. It seems that when someone TRIES to look disinterested they look more like someone that has an anger problem or something. Who wants to approach someone with a problem? She was just nervous, not a bit*h at all.

In an attempt to hide her nervousness she appeared to look like an unhappy person. So before you assume that all boys are scared, (which allot are) maybe these guys are looking for someone that has more than just looks. They could be looking for someone that looks like a nice person and not someone that is disinterested in the world.

I was just lucky that I got to know the friend of a friend of a friend better by hanging with my friends. I would have never wanted to date this cute girl let alone talk to her. What a surprise!! A good one in that.

Easy...rejection. Most guys (of any age) are terrified of rejection. Usually, a girl will let a guy down easy if she is not interested, but....

There are girls who 'make a show of saying no' and this is what terrifies most guys.

Usually the prettier the girl...the greater the fear of rejection.

They feel that your too good for them and that you'll reject them. Guys are scared of this world and they wouldn't know what to do without you. They just think that they'll save the embarassment for later. Not all guys are like that, but the shy guys, are.
