I used to buy these big plastic containers made just for holding cereal so you don't have to worry about them going stale after you open them. If you can't find them, One of those plastic pitchers for fluids could do. Good luck!

Its very easy actually. When you open the bag use special care not to tear the sides open. When air gets into the bag it causes the cereal to go stale quickly. When you put the bag away roll it down so it is right by the ceral. Use a cloths pin or a chip clip to hold it shut. Also you could concider vaccume sealing the food in a special container. Other then that store it in a dry cool place and it should last a while.

To keep your cereal from going stale, make sure you carefully reclose the box to prevent moisture from getting in or put it in a glass jar or labeled container with a tight lid to keep out bugs.

Put a small apple in the cereal box or transfer the cereal to an air tight tupperware bowl.

I always keep mine in the fridge. Sometimes I put it in a bowl with an airtight lid. Both keeps it fresher longer.
