Your Mustang will win, even if he puts a bigger engine in his Wrangler. Jeeps are geared for torque. Cars, especially sports cars, are geared for speed.

I have a 2002 Mustang GT and a 1990 Ford Bronco. and my Bro has a 1994 V8 Thunderbird.... So I know all about Fords and I raced a Jeep Wrangler from Stop light to Stop light with my Bronco (300 Straight 6) and I kicked the SNOT outta the Jeep... You got nothing to worry about man, Only go quarter mile though.... He might have chipped his jeep.... that means his don't cut out at 110MPH where unless your Mustang is chipped that's where it should cut out... If its a V6, if its a V8 Top speed is about 140-150 so be careful!!! Oh and tell him "No 4 Wheel Drive" that would be cheating because he would have 0 wheel spin if he romped it to the floor!
Good luck! Have fun and be careful,And remember there's nothing worth wadding up an '06 Mustang for... not even a good name!

Heads up? You win.
Gearded for torque?Must mean lower gears.Lower gears plus a new engine with the same power as the Stang? You win.Weight does play a factor you know so be careful,he is lighter.
More horse power plus lower gears? You may still win but don't bet on it.
Distance plays a major factor in your race.1/4 mile you win.1/8 of a mile?you win by a nose.
I just can't believe he is going to race a wrangler. That could be very dangerous with a top heavy vehicle so keep your eye on him.

if your mustang is a v8 its not even a close race. You do a mid 13 quarter and a 8-9 second 1/8th he does like a 17 second 1/4 and a 11-12 second 1/8th. You will win by like 15 car lengths. if you have a v6 it will be closer but you will still win by a decsent margin, its not worth your time.

If you want to win, don't let the Jeep guy pick the hill. Pick a smooth hill that has no ditches or deep ruts.
