well u would have to have a dvd burner, either a standalone or a dvd burner drive of ur computer. if u have a standalone dvd burner hook up the composite cables to the dvd burner and change the source on the dvd burner to the camcorder and put in a blank dvd and press play on the camcorder and press record on the dvd players remote. he only problem is that the recording to dvd wll be in real time.

You need a video capture card of some description.

8mm -> capture to hard disk -> edit and title -> burn to DVD.

Don't be tempted by the USB2 versions. They really aren't that good. A dedicated PCI card is the way to go. And if you spend a bit extra you might even get TV on your PC as well as an added bonus!

You didn't say where you are, so I haven't bothered giving links to examples you can buy.

install a tv card

then connect the camcorder via the rf lead(the one you would connect to tv)

run the scan on the tv card till you see your video on pc screen

then when you have that start to record your video (there will be a button on screen to start recording to pc) select what format you want to save ie mpg avi.
when you have all your video on the computer use nero recode to code the video in pal mode and it will recode it and burn it to dvd

"Dazzle" video creator by Pinnacle is a plug and play USB device which allows you to record from a camcorder with analogue outputs, you can burn straight to disc or edit your footage first and then burn to disc. (at around £45)
