Check petfinder.com there are many pure breed dogs available for adoption. Not only do they deal with shelters, but also breed rescue groups. Often puppies or young dogs are available and adoption fees usually range from $100-400. Good luck!

You are going to find a hard time getting an English Bulldog for $300.. No matter whether it's well bred or not..
Just cause a dog is cute, and you liked the dog when you met it somewhere, doesn't mean that it's a good breed of dog for you. You should research the temperament, health issues and everything else before actually getting one.
If people decide they like or dislike a breed of dog based on one 5 minute meeting, there will be a whole lot of people with the wrong breed of dog.
Just like you can't be too quick to judge, you also can't be too quick to jump into something until you learn more about it.

First thing you need to do is to go research the breed on
Purina.com Just because it's cute and lovable does not mean it is the right breed for you. You need to be aware of the health and care issues the breed might have so that you can be financially prepared for what the future might bring.
sorry to say but I do not believe that you will be able to find ANY English bulldog for $300 as this is not a common breed in the US and yes, they are VERY costly. Good luck

$250? Warning flag going up... please check into this breeder... is the dog health checked, do they guarentee its lineage? Do they have a return policy, do they show its parents, are they registared breeders? You may think it doesn't matter but breeding when done by those who don't know what they are doing can only hurt you in the end with expensive vet bills.
I have a boxer and they are prone to cancer and heart problems so when I bought one, I chose a breeder who was very savvy and had her dogs wear heart monitors and she has a lifelong return policy if ever a dog gets sick or the new owners can't keep it she will always take it back. Also her dogs are breed for temperments... if they ever show the littlest sign of aggression they are no longer allowed to be bred.
Can you guarentee the breeders of this dog are that reliable? You should NEVER settle for less.

Sorry about your other dog.
I am sad to say that you will not find any English Bulldogs for $300, unless you want an older one.
I would suggest that you start looking around in shelters and pounds, you can also put a Wanted/Free/$300 English Bulldog posting up on www.craigslist.com thats where I got my $200 Cockatoo cage and all!
Try it out and you never know what you might end up with so make sure you look at the dog before you get him unless its free then you cant complain!
I hope you find what your looking for.
Good Luck! (^_^)

Do some research on the breed before you go buy one. Just because the one you saw was oh so cute and well mannered they may require more time and attention that you will be able to give for the lifetime of the dog. Dogbreedinfo is a good place to start and there are links to breeders in your area after you type in your zip code.

Since your funds are limited, I think you should contact the local rescue groups to find an English Bulldog in rescue. It's hard to find a good one that inexpensively from the breeders you find at the AKC, but you can check them out as well.
You can also look on Dogster which runs the list of pets up for adoption that used to be found at other pet search sites.

I hate to say it but only by a pure miracle will you get one that cheap and if you do find one be worned good chance there will be serious medical problem. After searchin for almost 8 years we finally found an unreg. for $600 and she has a hernia.
Oh and we live in Virginia USA and was willing to travel up to 300 miles to get on and we wer even looking about having one shipped.
