I have a family that is denying that he has a drug problem but i think the dog's seizures may be proof that he is lying

I think you got the wrong drug. I heard it was heroine that caused the seizures, but only if injected under the tongue. Then when the dog licks your face he overdoses from the heroine in your sweat, hence the seizures. Get help for the dog immediately, it wasn't his choice to get high.

Any thing could be causing the seizures but if there is evidence the owner is smoking crack the dog should be removed from the home before it gets hurt. A dog is breathing the same air as everyone else in the room so whatever is going into the air is also going into the dog's lungs. Take the dog out of the home for a week and see if the seizures stop or at least lessen a bit. If possible remove the dog and replace them in a new home permanently to ensure it's safety from getting hurt during the "ultimate"high.

You can ask your local vet if this is possible, or call a vet school to ask about this, as it's difficult to do a proper google search on the topic.

Meanwhile, if the family whose dog it is are NOT getting the dog treated by a vet for the seizures, then you should call the SPCA / Humane Society and report the dog as abused. Not providing medical care for a person or animal who's suffering from seizures which are quite dangerous is considered to be abuse.

If they are taking the dog for treatment to a vet, then they're acting responsibly and I would expect that crack users will NOT be spending any money on dogfood or vet care for their dog.

The proof is most likely to be found in the answer to whether or not the dog is being given veterinary care and medicines. Seizures in a dog are serious and require medication.

Er. I imagine it would be possible, but respiratory problems would be more likely. Second hand smoke, even ordinary tobacco is as harmful to animals as it is to humans.

Please tell me this dog is getting veterinary treatment for the seizures. I don't care if people want to destroy themselves through drugs but I makes me crazy if they hurt animals when they're doing it. If I were you I'd call the police on these b*stards if you think they're smoking crack around animals.

Maybe the dog got hold of a little bit of it and ate it.
