Go to see your doc and get this checked out - it could just be a simple muscle pull, or tendon strain, or could be something more serious like arthritus but there is no way of telling without seeing a doctor.

I have had a problem that sounds the same. Does it come on anytime of the day or night? I was told by a specialist at the hospital that it will take time to get better there is nothing that can be done to help it. I put a heated herbal pillow thing on my knee and it helps. Also if you strengthen the muscle in the tops of your legs that will help. Don't sit with your knees bent have them straight out then it doesn't hurt as much. Best to go to your doctors and ask to be referred to a specialist

you didnt have to make the same question three times!!!

but anyway possibly the way it sounds, you created some deal of stress on your knees with however you sit or stand and you may have pulled a muscle around your knee or very well the synovial joint fluid around your knees could be dissipating..i would go check with a doctor about your knees.

I recently started having knee pain when I began going to the gym. Anyway, I have started seeing a Chiropractic and Wellness Dr. When we looked at the x-rays, my bones are crooked. They had started to slant. I'm now working on re-aligning that part of my body. It's worth a shot to get checked out. Good luck.

You need an xray done to see whats going on inside your knee, its no good guessing. Torn cartilage needs different treatment from pulled muscles. Believe me I know, I have had knee trouble for years and finally had a replacement done 7 weeks ago.

1..Are you overweight.
2..Before this did you get much excercise
..These are sometimes contributing factors, you didnt mention your age....cod liver oil may help it is good for joints.
Yes to taking it easy, but keep the knee joint mobile or it could get worse...see your Dr about advice on getting some light excersises and or physio.
Good Luck

depending on your age sometimes with age the cartilage gets worn out from the US maybe also in the UK you can get food supplements to rebulid your joints with glucosamine and choindroiton capsules, but all the same go to see your doctor

You need to get it checked out by your doctor. In the meantime try putting ice packs on in to help with the pain.

It might be damaged knee cartilage. Unfortunately, all you can do is rest it,
Swimming might help, and maybe use a support in the mean time.
