I have been thinking about trying the program my doctor suggested. I was just wondering if any one has tried it before and how effective it was in helping them lose weight.

I'm a Lifetime Weight Watchers member and have been maintaining for 6 months now!

The plan works very well and teaches you not just how to lose weight but how to keep weight off for the rest of your life.

There are two kinds of plans: one is called the Flex Plan. On it, you eat a certain number of points each day. A point is calculated from the calories, fat and fiber in a food. You get some points that you can eat anytime in the week you want, or not eat at all, and you can always earn extra points from exercise.

The other plan is the Core Plan. On Core you have a HUGE list of foods. You can eat as much of these foods as you'd like, but just until you're not hungry - not until you're stuffed. You also get some points that you can use to eat whenever and whatever you want with, even things that aren't "core". You can also earn activity points with exercise that you can eat anyway you want.

In addition to this basic plan for meetings, Weight Watchers has meetings every week. The meetings teach you about healthy eating, exercise, how to lose weight, how to maintain your loss, how to resist temptation etc. The meetings will serve to teach you about food and will really motivate you!

The plan has taught me to think about food differently. I've learned that I CAN have whatever I want to eat. I just can't have too much of it, or have it too often. I've also learned that I NEED to exercise. I feel better and I can eat more!

If you want to lose weight, keep it off, and change your life, Weight Watchers is the best program out there.

Go for it, and good luck!

I've never joined Weight Watchers, but I have followed the diet and lost weight. it's been proven that people that join WW lose more weight than if they try alone. there isn't a group that meets anywhere in this county and I don't have the time to go where and when they meet. the food is good. I think you should try it. good luck!

u can use detox diets to loose weight .People who follow it are seemingly more healthy and live longer lives.detox diets will help u to a great extent to reduce weight and be slim.for one week put yourself on a monotrophic diet , i.e. eat only one type of fruit at each meal. For example: BREAKFAST could be melon only. Eat as much as you like and feel satisfied that you have had enough. Eat only one fruit at a time and eat till hunger is satisfied. source:http://www.detoxdiets4all.blogspot.com
