Heya,

my gf is from thailand and while I love asian food, this particular one seems really dodgy.

Basically what she does is she mixes water and flour in a huge pan and brings it to a boil, stirring the whole time. Once it's completely mixed, it gets poured into a container to cool off.

She then eats this with a very spicy liquid sauce.

Is eating flour like that healthy? LOL

Well, it's fat-free.... and I suppose as long as she's not overweight or diabetic, it's fine. I was worried she ate it raw... she's basically made a thickened flour slurry, then seasons it up. I'd rather eat flour a myriad of other ways (bread, pasta, desserts...) but maybe that's a Thai thing.

BUT if it's NOT a custom in her country, and soemthing she dreamed up on her own, then I'd worry she had nutrient deficiencies.

Does she look and seem healthy? Don't worry about it. Don't overobsess. Food is food.
