I have seen some amazing stuff happen with Reiki , so it would not surprise me at all
my mother was told that she wouldnt walk , or if she did it would take many many years of physio
she was in hospital for 5 weeks after a sever stroke and walked out of that place
and a year later , apart from a slight turn in her foot , she is doing amazingly
no physio , only reiki and a great deal of willpower

I guess I would research that type of healing work and try to understand how it had cured me. Reiki, for example, is a fascinating study. But many people use that term when what they are doing is their own personal variation. So, for example, you may have been healed by someone with personal healing power not really related to the things you read.

In the end, if you can talk to the healer himself or herself, and ask them what they experience during a healing treatment, you might be able to understand it. And sometimes people really do not know how they do what they do. I was encouraged to help in a healing treatment by the simple process of someone putting a chair for me at the head of the massage table they were using. I put my hands on the person's head, stroked it gently, tried to focus comfort and compassion to her, and whispered a goddess-invocation I normally used in rituals. Later that person said I had made her feel very much better, but what I was doing was just willing comfort to her, without knowing anything about the healing procedure.

Atoms influence nearby atoms. That's basic science.

The brain controls the central nervous system, heart rate, etc. and it's not hard to influence the direction that the brain takes with that.

So it is possible that a person could use his or her brain to control their CNS to influence the CNS or other systems of another person.

Not having all the pieces of the puzzle figured out doesn't mean that the cause has to be supernatural.

I would have to see proof that it was actualy the help of "reiki" , whatever that may be, that cured my illness in the first place.

If I was cured from a terrible disease there would be a scientific explanation. There are no miracles in this world.
