Whichever option you decide to use I would ensure and negotiate the removal of this item from my credit report. Many creditors are willing to do this in order to get their money. GOOD LUCK

It depends on your situation. Get a second job and see how that works out. Get your money direct deposited into a new account you opened just for that. After a couple of months see how much you have and start paying large amounts.
Settling is not good because it can affect your credit in a negative way. (you owe $2,000.00 but you settle for say $1500.00) a $500.00 difference. You would have to settle for $1900.00 to not have a bad credit and may as well pay all. but call your credit company and see how much they are willing to settle and ask them if it will affect your credit.
Even though you used the card, most is in accumulated interest.

Pay it in full. It's not that much, and settlements on amounts that low might not even be available. And it will be better for your credit report - plus of course, it's the right thing to do.

Try to settle as long as it doesn't hurt your credit. Ask for a "pay for delete" if anything is reporting negatively on your credit report.
