First, take anything to get you back in the working mode. Look in newspapers or post an ad offering your services. You can post a free one for your area at craigslist.com. Try sales or deliveries. Ask local shops if they need help with moving things or deliveries. Large chain supermarkets are great too. Good pay even w/the baggers. Even if it's a few days a week. It'll get you moving in the right direction. Get a roommate when you move out so the bills don't get too heavy. Or try a training school while you work.. Like trucking, pipe fitting, construction. Most offer financing and some take about a year and a half. Good luck!

Matt, I have been through some bad times, divorce, bought ex a business she ruined it and my credit etc... I still have a home and started a business in construction. I wouldnt recommend starting fresh at 35 in a labor type job I been doing it for 13 years .. Go get a realtors license doesnt cost that much it will take some time to get the ball rolling but you live at home you can afford some time.. Bottom line no one will send you a check for nothing you need to take initiative and do something with your life. I am 29 years old through my bad experiences im still pushing forward because I have goals. Good luck ...

First of all, find a job, even if it doesn't pay much. There are plenty of them out there if you're not expecting high wages. That will give you SOME income, and build your confidence a little.

Then look at the longer term. Did you finish high school? Advanced training of some sort? If not, do it.

Nobody can recommend a job or career for you without knowing your background and your likes and dislikes.

Good luck.
