I noticed on that day there were not a lot of people buying gas, but right after that day the prices jumped about 18 cents a gallon in one day in my area.

No, probably only a small percent of people did it (the boycott). Gas stations are just price gouging because they can. The gov. need to be checking the stations purchase price vs. their charging price like they did in the past.

Gas is jumping every time a politician sneezes.
If all the GAS STATIONS would do what the one here did, maybe the oil companies would listen.
One Brave owner, sealed off his pumps, to lash back at the oil companies, with a note that read. "I did not raise the Gas Price, and I am not profiting from it, and I refuse to beat my customers up over the Gas Companies Greed" He left the store open so people could buy drinks, cigs, whatever.
If All the Gas Stations would do this across the nation, we might get something done.

It did go up a little and then fell about $0.10 per gallon. I admit that it is a pain and does impact a lot of our daily lives. The more we react and panic about the prices, the more control they really have.... yet at the same time no one can afford to be indifferent to the problem. Even the wealthy... they didn't become rich by spending all the time.

Not buying gas on one day will never work because you just buy more the next day.

High gas prices are here to stay.
