i have never used milk in icing just water

You could make cream cheese icing which would be good with bananas. Take 8 oz. cream cheese, softened, 1 stick softened butter, 1 box powdered sugar, and 1 tsp. vanilla and beat with mixer until fluffy.
You could also use evaporated milk if you have that on hand.

butter cream frosting
butter and powder sugar. just let better get soft and add powder sugar til consistancy is good and creamy.
