NO go to a vet asap. A splint wont always do the trick. It may need surgery or something. They will work with you on the bill, most all do. This is very important, your mom should know this. The leg can grow back wrong and it will never get the proper use back again. What if you had a broken leg and your mom made a homemade splint. Thats not right. Plus Im sure it needs some pain medacine. Poor kitty, this should be animal abuse. I KNOW its neglect and someone should call the animal police on you two!!!!!! IF you cannot properly care for a kitten then how are you going to care for it the rest of its life.

Are you nuts? You can't put a home splint on an animal!!! And you took if off after a few days! (which was probably a good idea actually, given that you clearly don't know what you're doing)
Take the cat to a vet for God's sake! It probably is broken, cats hide this kind of pin remarkably well. Splints are only suitable in certain cases. You're risking making the problem a lot worse - it may be a break that needs to be set for heaven's sake! The break may need pinning! Do you even know how to properly apply a splint! You're mad, get the cat to vet!

Tell your mom the kitten needs to see the vet!
just putting a splint on doesn't FIX anything.
if the leg is broken you could be mending it wrong...
if their are shattered little bones, what a mess!
take the kitten to the vet and if you can't, find a clinic
and if you can't, then your mom shouldn't be allowed to have an animal. You need to care for them like babies, when hurt, take to doctor.
good luck.

You must take this cat to the vet. Putting a splint on is not a good idea. It could make the bones fuse the wrong way.
Please take him to the vet.

take that poor kitten to the doctor immediately! If the leg is broken and untreated the leg will start healing and the leg will become deformed. The kitty will not have 100% use of the limb, and will have trouble the rest of its life.

You need to take him to the vet. He could be in a lot of pain and if it was you wouldn't you want someone to take you to the doctor?

Take him to the vet! I don't understand why people put stuff like this on here and ask strangers when the poor thing obviously needs professional medical attention! Duh!
