cloudy conditions are best. you might try early morning fishing before it gets too hot or night fishing after the sun goes down. the sun is usually the hottest between 10am and 2 pm and the fish will go to deeper water

I like a clear sky on a summer day. Good times are early in the morning and late in the evening, but if you hit the right spot it will be all day long. I've heard of people who catcha fish and tie a balloon to the string so they can follow them around and catch em all day long. That's kind of mean in my book though. Early in the morning when it is still dark, use a black topwater and as the sun comes up change to some colors. But the best bait, is live bait. I don't like fishing saltwater after a good rain like today. I think all that freshwater messes up the fishing. Wind coming from the north will blow out all the water and that messes up fishing as well. It's good to escape the Texas heat and go do some nightfishing up on Lake Conroe and try to catch some crappie. A lot of people believe that when there is a full moon the fishing is really good as well. Hope that helps.

Night - full moon so you don't need a lantern - slight breeze to keep the bugs down - just worm enough you don't need a jacket - No attitudes around. That is the weather I like while fishing

For comfort, a warm, sunny summer afternoon. For catching fish is doesn't matter. I caught fish on cold rainy November mornings and on warm, humid August afternoons. It's all about right place, right time, right bait.
