dont forget how convenient is was when the church prophet had a "revelation" from god that allowed blacks to hold the priesthood.....right around the time the US supreme court ruled on discrimination...crosses?....Christianity?..hardly...they write their own history and future and gospel

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints doesn't use the cross as the main symbol of our faith because our message is that CHRIST LIVES and using the cross as the symbol only focuses on Christ's Death, we focus on his birth, ministry, suffering in Gethsemane, death on the cross and Resurrection and that he is alive today and still leads his church through the mouth of his Prophet and Apostles.
Jesus Christ and God the Father appeared to Joseph Smith in a vision and they set in motion the Restoration of the gospel. It was restored through many angels who had once been prophets of God on the earth. The angel Moroni was chosen because it is prophesied that before the second coming of the Lord he will declare to the world repentance and that Christ is coming with the voice of a trumpet.
Moroni did not preach "a different gospel" he helped restore it to it's original form.
That's why its called restoration.
hope that helps! :) Have a great day!:)

The other name for "Mormons" is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." So it would go without saying, unless you are a complete idiot, that Mormons are Christians.
Yes, they do have their own bible (The Book of Mormon)-- they also use the King James Version of the bible.
Many churches do not put crosses or relics up on the walls. This is not a crime. If you've ever been into a Mormon church, you will notice just how plain it is inside. It's just how they do things.
I'm not Mormon but I married into a Mormon family and I have Mormon friends. I may not agree with their religious doctrines but that doesn't mean that I see them as subhuman or less than myself.

First, crucifixion is one of the most INHUMANE forms of torture and death that man has ever thought up.
Second, while we accept whole heartedly the sacrifice that Christ made on the cross, if it were not for His resurrection, His death would mean nothing to us. Not that it would not have been just as valid but if we did not know of His resurrections, then His death would not mean anything to us.

They feel that using the symbol of his death is a little morbid. If a gun killed Jesus would every one wear a gun around thier neck?
This is thier logic.

Perhaps they woke up?
To venerate a cross is the same as adoring the gun that just killed your son.
