It's ridiculous, but some people will believe anything.

I particularly enjoy the explanations which claim that the water that would later fall to earth in The Great Flood was all being suspended in the atmosphere, and that made for a more hospitable environment. Therefore humans could live for 900 years.

Whoo boy! Kent Hovind really pulled a number on these poor people.

Yes, because of change that men have made in their life style and changes that occur in the environment.

Now people are living to be 100 or so and working on making it longer. Not so long ago the life span was about 40 to 45 years.

As I have stated before, the people who wrote the bible where ignorant primitive shepherds who most likely didn't know how to count very well.
You just need to imagine, with a life expectancy of about 30 years, when someone lived to their fiftys they must have said "whoaaa you must be like 900 years".

Methuselah lived to be 969 years of age.

...and yes I do believe it...

Our blood PH was slightly higher back then, due to better eating habits, lifestyle choices..not to mention pollution both of water and air compared to our modern day experience.

I don't believe it at all. However, Christians seems to be happy believing that, and, if they are happy believing in that, I am sincerely happy for them.
