I am going to be in High School next year. A few days ago this boy who will be an eight grader told me he liked me......(i like him too) just one MAJOR problem.....his girlfriend is one of my best friends & really i mean really likes him. So a few days ago he broke up with her 2 go out with me. Shes all now depressed and everything and i feel like its all my fault. Him and I will b apart from each other all summer except 4 like 2-3 weeks. I really like him a lot, but i just told him i wanted to be "friends" should i take that step & become his "girlfriend" or should i just wait until hes in high school??

Wait until he's in high school. He's too young for you anyway, plus, it will give time for your best friend to be around that guy in 8 grade. And, she will also thank you for not going out with him!

that's a hard decision.. stick with ur bf no matter how much u like the guy, your bf will be there by your side, talk 2 your best friend, and support her. don't ditch her for the guy. talk 2 the guy and just be friends 4 now...

First of all, it's not your fault if he dumped your friend. That was his decision.
That said, I don't think it would be a good idea to date him. How do you think your friend would take it, after all?
You're young. There are plenty of boys. Find one without strings attached.

you need to decide which you value more. Friends? or a guy. Chances are you will lose your friendship with your friend.
