The most probably is that you are INSTALLING A VIRUS, virus need to be clicked in most of the cases with the excuse you are installing a program so then thy can introduce and change information in your registry, watch out with what you are doing if it an installer, a real one, made by proper programmers never should do such things.

Beware always from where you download and install programs cause your computer is important and all your system delicated as manage sound, pictures, internet, passwords, wireless, printer, scanners and more.

If you get involved with the wrong virus you can have a real bad time, I recommend you to run an anti virus and I am quite sure you will find some virus in your Pc.

Is it a program or a file? Because a file shouldn't be triggering an error message for a program. Thats bad news and suggests the file contains a trojan or other malware. A file is something you look at and read.
If you were using the wrong program to read it, it would give an error message that it couldn't open the file.
I'd scan with AVG anti spyware.

Right click on the file icon and select 'scan with avg antispyware'.

If its clean, try deleting it and downloading a fresh copy.
