and all the end of the world stuff? I thought Jesus died so we wouldn't have to go through that sort of stuff!

I am glad you have taken notice of this. The Lord put this in the Bible as a warning for us.

Yes, Revelations dose say it will happen. It' is happening right now around the world. Only we have not seen it in America, YET!

I had seen pictures of the Taliban who skint a man alive for going against their religious beliefs.

I know of missionaries who have testified of Christians being crucified, tied to a cross with barbed wire and left to die, because they believe in Jesus.

Ask those who think we are to good to see this. That God will not allow it to happen to his people. What about the things happening outside America.

Because of the grace of God, he has held it back from us. But the grace has been pulled back because of sin. America has become as they were in the days of Noah, and like the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Look at the people who hated Rev Falwell, because of his stand against sin. Look at the sin in the churches, weak Christians who will straddle the fence with sin. God said he was looking for a Church WITHOUT SPOT OR WRINKLE.

The book of Revelation tells us that this persecution will happen again. Arrogance causes people to think it will not happen to us (America). God had allowed the persecution of his people at different times through out history.

There is hope. What you have seen is God getting your attention. All Christians during these days WILL HAVE TO BE COMPLETELY SOLD OUT TO GOD DURING THESE DAYS. But we can't wait until then, it has to start now.

Seek the Lord while he may be found. The Bible also says work while it is day for night cometh where no man can work.

God will not leave his people, but we must start today calling on him. A Holy Ghost revival is at the door. God is about to pour out his spirit greater than he did in the book of Acts. The Bible tells us the latter house will be greater than the former house.

The former house (early church) had the spirit of Elijah on it. The latter house (todays church, not the fakers) will have the spirit of Elisha. Elisha had a double portion of the spirit of Elijah. Soon God will do things this world has never seen.

It will look good to some to take the Mark of the Beast and escape the persecution. But Gods wrath will be far worse on the unbelievers than what they will do to the Christians. We will be in the world but God will not let HIS WRATH fall on his people, only on the wicked. (It will be as the days of Lot. Lot would have been destroyed if he'd stayed in the city of Sodom. Christians need to get as far away from sin and those commiting sin as possible.)

Not at all. (By the way, the book is called The Revelation of Jesus Christ. That means that what is revealed should be understood within the context of Jesus and His love for His church.)

Before Jesus died, rose from the dead and returned to heaven, He told us that we would endure suffering and persecution. He told us this so we would not disheartened when these things started to happen.

Also, ignore any suggestion to read any of the "Left Behind" books. They are all just fiction with enough "Bible words" thrown in to make you think it's Biblical. The pretext of the "secret" Rapture is unbiblical. When Jesus returns the 2nd time it will be a loud, visible event. At that point everyone has already had their second chance...after this, no more.

The "Rapturists" teach that there is a "snatching away" of the saints, but Jesus said that we would have to endure through persecution and that He would be with us. Enough said.

No Jesus died to forgive us of our sins, He never promised us that this life would be easy. The Bible says Jesus was persecuted and so were all of his disciples and if we follow him we will be too, The world hated him that's why he was crucified and beaten and in the end all Christians will be too.
No I'm not scared, I'm not looking forward to being beat or jailed for being a christian but if I'm still alive at the time this happens i will hold my faith in God, what happens to me here don't matter, what matters is what I have to answer to God for what I did,If the world takes my life because I believe in Jesus then I will receive my reward in heaven.

Up until recently, my husband and I were scared about the promises in Revelation, and being "marked." We too thought it would be with a chip, and that it would be the mark of the beast put into people's arms, wrists, or hands. We had decided that if it ever came to that, and that in order to buy food, clothing, or ANYTHING, that we would rather die than get the "chip."

How foolish we were.

We have found a book that explains what John meant by EVERYTHING he wrote in Revelation. It has been given to the world--now what is left up to us to see what we do with it. The book not only explains "the mark," but also the beasts, horses, dragon, and EVERY symbol in Revelation in such plainness that a child can understand.

Revelation 13:16 says, "And he causeth ALL... to receive a mark in their right hand...

ALL, means just that ALL--there is no one on this earth that does not ALREADY have the mark. The mark is nothing more than money. We cannot buy or sell in this world unless we involve ourselves in its economies. We idolize the almighty dollar, and worship all it can do for us. We would literally die without money to buy food, clothing, and shelter for ourselves and our families.

I am no longer scared. The truth has set me free. You too can read and be set free--the answers are found in the book--free online if you want to see for yourself.

The Book of Revelations used to really scare my wife, as a child, but she was raised in the Baptist faith, which tends to literalize all that stuff, as do most mainline orthodox churches. The book is an allegory and pretty much everything in it is intended to be symbolic, and probably none of it has any real relevance to our day. I can understand being afraid if one takes all that stuff literally. Thomas Jefferson said something about it being the ravings of a madman. Ambrose Bierce said that it was a famous book by John the divine, in which he concealed all that he knew; the revealing is done by the commentators, who know nothing. Lol. Touche, Mr. Bierce!

I used to live in terror of it, but not anymore. I was a member of a cult and we were told repeatedly that the end would be in xxxx, etc. It was very frightening living like that.
Anyway, I soon began to realise that God is love, and yes, although it might happen in my lifetime, then if I believe in the love of God, he will look after me.
I no longer read prophecies, instead I try to concentrate on the words and teachings of Jesus Christ. The truth does set you free. And one of those freedoms has to be the the freedom of fear.
You cannot live your life in fear - that is a waste. You might as well be an atheist, rather than live your life with every thought and action ruled by fear. That is no good at all.
So stop worrying about it. And enjoy the life that God gave you. Truly.

I kind of believe as you believe. We're out of here before the heavy duty action begins. But, we don't know exactly when we'll be removed because there is a vagueness in the scripture about it. At least at this point in time.

If we do go through the tribulation, I can only say what I know now, I'll be ready. But actually going through it and thinking about it are two different things. I guess I believe that God will give us grace just as he did during the persecution of the early church.

Christians in many other countries are already being imprisoned, tortured and even killed for their faith. Jesus died to take care of our sins but not to protect us from persecution. In this country we are the only group that doesn't really have free speech and the government is only trying to squeeze us even tighter. There are many hate-filled so-called Christians who need silenced but the ones who approach their witness with love should be free. Eventually persecution will reach this country. I just hope I am ready

cool down. you're talking some prophecy that grow to be to happen throughout the time of the tip circumstances of civilization as all of us realize it. How might a guy who lived 2,000 years in the past describe the attractions that he might see at present. There are numerous modern-day theories with regards to the meaning of 666. They comprise the bar code symbols that use 3 sequence of six strains. The 666 equipment is meant to in basic terms enable its contributors to purchase and sell (interior the Bible). The huge variety grow to be meant to be interior the brow or interior the hand. it might desire to be something reminiscent of a credit card, whether held interior the hand, or under the floor. i could not discover any reference the place it may be BURNED interior the floor. it might desire to be a tattoo.

Jesus died to save us but never promised we would not suffer for beliving in him. The Devil does that.

And the mark will be a microchip. In the Bible it says that "gold and silver will mean nothing". How soon before we will not need cash and will have a chip in our hand or head to pay for everything? Right now they are doing it to people because they say that "But if your in an accident, we'll know your medical history". And in 2 years they will have you GPS'd so they know where you are at any time.
