My car right now only has a cassete deck and I'm going to get a CD deck installed pretty soon. My audio system seems to be okay with the current set-up, even though I would like a lot more bass and sharper quality. However, I cant afford the entire set up right now, which would include buying a new sub woofer.
My question is, if I change only the speakers to a decent set, would this improve the overall quality of my sound system by a lot or just a little. And also, does the quality of the CD Deck matter for soudn quality as well? I just want a simple CD deck with a change of speakers.

Replacing the speakers with after-market upgrades should help quite a bit with the sharpness, but not so much for the bass. There's not a lot of difference between CD players in terms of sound quality when using their internal amplifiers, but some have more flexible built-in EQ systems than others. This might help you adjust the sound to your preference.

Any aftermarket speakers (besides dual/ no name brands because they are almost equivalent to stock speakers) will improve your system. If you turn the bass up to half the way it can go to, you should get great sound and fine bass quality with no distortion of any sorts, unless of course the speakers are crap.
And yes, different aftermarket CD players have different internal amplifiers that give out different wattage to the speakers (look on the specs for something like.. i.e: 50x4, which is the most common/best in my opinion)
Your best bet in my opinion is to buy some panasonics ($50 -$60 a pair for ur speakers) and a Panasonic CD Deck (eh, $100 or less, look for some good deals online!)
Good luck guy

Without replacing the speakers, the deck makes a world of difference. the Pioneer head unit I use makes amazing sound quality with stock speakers, with or without the subwoofers on. Keep in mind that the sound is coming out of the receiver - the quality of the sound all depends on how good that receiver is. Speakers aren't much more than some paper with a couple of wires contacting them. If you want a real difference, go with the CD player and see how it sounds before replacing the speakers. Most stock radios "clip" the speakers - that is, the radio maxes out before the speakers do and it sounds terrible. An aftermarket CD player will let you take your speakers to a level you didn't know they could reach.

There is a big difference in clarity between the two. Tape is around 20db, whereas with the cd it's about 120db. Now with the speakers, anything would sound better than the stock speakers. I would suggest a good brand like Boston Acoustics, or Infinity perhaps. Yeah, you'd be able to tell the difference. If your looking around, check this place out.

you particularly need to change the + and the - (the different unit can influence the capability) ideally the change could be ready to as plenty present day as a hazard, Farnell has a sturdy one. Or look at 4 pole exchange-over relays, and an uncomplicated discrete change to paintings it.
