it wos issued on 2001 and never renued expire on 2011

Yes, Australia is one of the 27 countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program. So as long as you do not plan to stay more than 90 days, you should have no problems.

My Mum left Australia yesterday and is sleeping in the States today.
