What do I think about Jimmy Swaggart, the cousin of Jerry Lee Lewis, and Mickey Gilley.?

I think he had a powerful ministry prior to his transgressions. I think God can forgive him for that, but only he knows if God has forgiven him.

I think that his wife, Francis, staying with him and standing behind him has probably been responsible for his getting up and shaking the dust off his feet and trying again. She runs the radio ministry.

Jimmy was back in business in less than a year even though the governing body of the AOG sanctioned him for a year, and then later dropped him from their association.

Since then he has apparently stayed fairly low profile. I haven't heard much about him since that time, but you can learn about his current ministry, and his sons ministry, from his website.

I can add this comment though. The army of God is the only army in the world that turns its back on its wounded warriors.

Just shows how God can remove his hand from a man who continues to sin. At one time he had a call on his life but now, how many even remember him? I can't judge him. If he has repented he'll still be in heaven. That's between him and God because only God can judge his heart. But the effectiveness he once had will never return because of his sin.

He sure is a good salesman. After the 10 minutes of preaching is over, and the 50 minute commercial for his "expositors study guide bible)which he insists"you will NOT be able to understand the full meaning of the word of God"without. He sells them for the ridiculously low price of 75$ each, and looks right into the camera and pleads that "I know some of you can afford to buy 1,000 of these,in the name of Jesus,do it"Man,he sure ain't a small time salesman!lol

God knows where he is in his walk of faith.

The only thing I know is that he was told by his leadership to step down from the pulpit for a year, and he refused to do it for the full time.

The Bible says we are to obey those who have the rule over us as they watch out for our souls. (This speaks of spiritual leadership) which he did not obey.

Whether he repented of that or not, I have never heard. That is between him and God.

He is a terrorist. He stole money from people in God's name and he is not alone. I don't see why people continue sending these kind of people money

I think that he is just a man. Nothing more, nothing less.

But if you ask about his preaching. I don't believe he is serious about it. Just keep your eyes open and you'll see.
