Because Sabbath is not necessarily a "physical rest".
Remember, the Sabbath was established before the fall of man. Before Adam & Eve even had a chance to "get tired" (they were created on the 6th day) the Sabbath was given as a gift.
With that being said, now after the fall, the Sabbath is a day of physical/emotional/spiritual rest...with Jesus Himself having put the greater emphasis on the spiritual. He pointed out to the pharisees, when they accused Him of breaking the Sabbath, that to do good was legal. He also said that His Father, God, was at work. Imagine if God "stopped" working...everthing would cease to exist!
When God established the Sabbath it was because He was finished with creation not because He needed a break. The Sabbath was/is an eternal principle based on God's mercy & love and our need for Him. God doing for man what man cannot do for himself.

In Isaiah 40:31 it says that those who are waiting for the Lord are having renewed their strength as if they have their wings like the eagle, they ran but not feeling tired and they walked but they do not feel weakness. Because of their fatih to God, they do not feel the harship and are tireless and they will never lost their faith to God.
In Isaiah 66:23- it says the faithful will stay long to wait for the Lord and their faith will never die. or never end. and it continued in verse 24 that those believers will move out to see the dead who are against God, because their worms will not die or their fire will not stop and they (Non believers of God) will become the worst among the people..
In Mark 2:27 it says that the Sabath was made for man to have a rest but the sabath to be made to rest for a man. and Jesus is still the Lord of the sabath. Sabath is for resting of man from hard works if he want to rest at any day of the week.

First, the Sabbath is the 4th Commandment, and the 10 Commandments will never be done away with, so we will have to keep the Sabbath in heaven.
Second, the Sabbath was intended, not only for rest, but as a day to do nothing but worship God.
Third, when we're in heaven and everyone there loves God supremely, don't you think that everyone would love a day to do nothing else but to be in the temple of God, singing praises to his holy name, and praising him for everything that he has given.
Ps. 27:4 "One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple."

Good question, by the way.
The saints will never get tired.
Did God get tired? Why did he make the Sabbath Day? He worked 6 days and rested?
He made it for man! He blessed it also, and made it holy. Yet, we won't be tired in heaven, but we will still rest, Why?
We are going to be keeping the Sabbath in Heaven, to because we worship the God that made Everything in 6 days and rested on the 7th Day. It shows who we worship. so, if we will keep it then to show that we worship God, Doesn't that prove we are to keep it now to show who we worship?
Of chorse it does. No where in the bible does it state that Sunday is the "new sabbath", neither does it say, to worship on Sunday because Jesus Rose on the 3rd day! The devil doesn't want you to worship God! He gets alot of people to break God's Holy Sabbath Day, to respect his (the devils) day of worship. Yes I said it. It was man made, not by God. If you worship on Sunday, you are not respecting God as you may think. Yes, you can worship God everyday even on Sunday, but... You will miss a blessing if you don't rest on the Sabbath. It is the Lord's day. not made by man, but by him!

Friend, you are stuck on this sabbath stuff, As I already answered one question, I will answer it again. You have the Saints living in heaven forever, That is not the true story, The saints will live here on this earth in the millennium for 1000 yrs, which that 1000 yrs is a type & shadow of the 7th day. When you keep the saints in heaven for all eternity, Then you have to void out many scriptures, & I don't void out any scriptures, There is always an answer, & it depends on Us to let God lead us. If you think that the saints will live in heaven forever, then what is the purpose of the resurrection, God will put the saints souls back into their dead bodies, As immortal, & then they are taken to heaven Immortal body & soul to live & dine at the marriage supper, while down here on this earth The great tribulation is going on, You have 7 yrs. period here, The first 3 1/2 years is for 2 Prophets to Isreal, Then the last 3 1/2 yrs. is for the anti-christ to rule & reign, Where is the saints at, at the marriage supper in heaven, But we are going to live on this earth again. While we are in heaven, why do you think we will have to keep the sabbath, there is nor day or night there which means in God mind there is no time period, Isa 40:31 as you try to use is not a picture in heaven, but a picture that is going on now down here on this earth, why do you want to think that there is weary in heaven, Now do you want to see the Saints coming back with Christ to rule & to reign for 1000 yrs. on THIS EARTH. Read the whole chapter of Rev. 20 It speaks of the wicked will not lived again until the 1000 yrs milliennium is over, That brings forth the Judgement of the wicked at the end of the 1000 yrs. Now let's look at the Bride coming back with Christ to rule & reign. Go to Rev.19:11-14 This army seen here is the Saints coming back with Christ to rule & reign & yes during that 1000 yrs. every nation will have to send a represntative to Jerusalm once a year to worship the one That sits on the throne in Jerusalem, & the nations that won't, will be destroyed. Read Rev.19:14 to see this army. Now you have Christ on his throne in Jerusalem, & satan is bound, No death or sickness during this time, death will only be for a hatred spirit for God, Because it also says a child shall be 100 yrs old. Then after the 1000 yrs. Satan is loose for a little season, & God allows this for the sole purpose of testing those born in the milliennium, Then after that satan, Hell, & death is cast into the lake of fire, To be destroyed. This earth then is also redeemed back to God, Oh Yes, this earth also has to be redeemed. That is why it says That this earth mourns & groans for the day of it's redemption. Once everything is redeemed, Then Christ come off the Throne & give back all power unto God & then Christ becomes our elder brother, now you have God on the throne & all of this will take place on this earth. The sabbath that is to come yet is the milliennium & it will be for 1000 yrs. & not once a week . Then after the milliennium we go right into the eternal age which is what the bible speaks as Worlds without end. You need to get the true picture of what the sabbath is, Because God does not have a Friday in heaven. And you also need to get it straight, we are to live here on this earth in the Milliennium & the eternal age & not in Heaven, In fact Heaven will be here on this earth during the milliennium & the eternal age.

In the Old Testament, the sabbath was to be a day of rest from secular work.
What sort of secular work would there be in heaven?
And if the work is all spiritual, would there be a need to stop this for one day a week?
Is there a week in heaven?
Heaven would be timeless, so there is not much point in there being a sabbath.
