waken up from a comma?

if someone has been in a comma for 3 days after there third heartattack can they wake up. i am very sad about this in my family and i really want to know?

its possible..sometimes the coma is a good thing..it keeps the person unaware of outside stresses and also aids in healing......god bless you and heres ahug..will keep you in my prayers ..also a coma shows there is some internal problems usually due to severe trauma

Three days isn't a long enough time to determine. I have read that 4 months is about the max that will determine if someone is going to recover or not. I also have a family member who has been in a coma for a year now - so her prognosis is extremely poor. However, an acquaintance of mine did awaken from a coma at about the 4 or 5 month mark with only some mild impairment. Best of luck to you and your family.

People have awakened from a COMA after years. Each case is an individual one. An adult in your family should have a conference with the doctor. Only he/she can tell you the prognosis for the individual you're worried about.

A family member of mine was in a coma he awoke after a week. At first he wouldn't talk and was sort of confused. After a month he was at home talking normally like his old self. He is fine now. But it didn't have to do with a heart attack.
